Well hopefully its better than the piece of **** that was released last year. Can't be any worse. The graphics look great, and they even brought in the lead designer from the MVP Baseball series to improve the gameplay. Hopefully it pays off.

Looks like the best looking game in the new generation. comparable to Gears of War IMO (considering how much more they ahve to do to make it look real).

This game looks AMAZING. Im hoping it will play that way. As stated before, i think this could be the best looking game on the Xbox 360. From sweat stains on your hat, to your pants blowing in the breeze. This could be the best sports title ever produced, ever and im not even a big MLB fan.

Yeah the graphics really are great, in previews for the game, its being said that the 360 version has the better graphics and animation compared to the PS3. I just hope and hope the gameplay is good. If not, I don't care how great it looks, it will be back to MVP 05 once again.

Yea, i can uderstand that. I enjoyed MLB 2k5, i dont know what happend this past season. I can give 2k a bit of leeway being that last yrs game was the first on the 360, so this one will be light yrs better. The guys over at 2k simply work harder than the guys at EA so im not worried about getting a "madden 07" type game, well get a great game.

So far, my only complaint is Jeter is on the cover. Does 2k know there are 29 other teams and a dozen players more worthy of being on the cover than him?

The graphics are nice, hopefully the gameplay is better. I had 2k6 on gamecube and i enjoyed the pitching with Inside Edge.

Yea, 2K has a tendency to reuse players on the covers of their titles. I mean theres Allen Iverson, Shaq and now Jeter.

I'd like to see a player like Paul Konerko make the cover of a baseball game sometime in my life. Doesn't have to be him, but just a player like him, great leader, not outspoken trying to make sound bites for ESPN, just plays hard and is a good example for players.

And MLB The Show is....scary. Not the good scary. Or the Rex Grossman scary.

Just didn't feel...right. I don't know, I'm just so used to MVP 05 because thats basically the only baseball game I have played since it came out.

that's how we all feel about Madden monopolizing the NFL. It's only right that 2k evened the playing field, although a shame that it didn't go the other way around, as I couldn't really care less about baseball. Not to mention NFL 2k series >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Madden.

2 years ago, i would have completely disagreed with you, but after playing the 2 HORRIBLE titles that were Madden 06 and Madden 07 on the 360, i think 2K could have done a MUCH MUCH better job. Like i said, EA is lazy. And its not just with Madden, i mean NBA Live????? WHAT A JOKE(im glad i always preferred 2k's).

I think this will be a damn good sports title, i hope EA is taking notes on how to do a sports simulation right.

2 years ago the 2k football game was still better than Madden, plus it was cheaper. I think only $20. A perfect sports gaming world would have MVP still going, Madden dead (both game and actual person) NFL 2K alive and well, and NBA Live retired. Think of how good MVP would have been by now, on the next gen consoles. MVP 05 is still the best baseball game out there.

I just slightly disagree. I think Madden has always been the better game up until 2 yrs ago. I started out playing the 2k version then got hooked on madden when it started on the PS2. I mean there was deff things that 2k's game did better, but i just enjoyed playing Madden more.

Now as for NBA games, MLB games and NHL games, its ALLLL 2K for me. They do better, i feel, in every catagory in every one of those games.

To say MVP would be good on the next gen conoles, well i dont know. Look at EA's history right now. Two HORRIBLE nba titles, 2 subpar nfl titles, some extremely thin soccer titles. I think EA would have done the SAME thing to MVP that they did with Madden and NBA Live. They would have stripped it down to its bare basics and call it a new game, and slowly, year by year they woud have added a feature here and there calling it "all new".

For whatever reason, EA got better and better with MVP with each version. There was no way it was going to get worse, sure the graphics aren't the greatest but the gameplay was awesome. And thats all that really matters, not features. And I'll tell you something right now, if 2K keeps up this half assed approach on their baseball games, whenever MVP 05 becomes backward compatible to the 360, guess what, it becomes the best baseball game on the 360.

I think the graphics on MVP 05 are better than 2k6. The players looked more real and they had more fluid animations. 2k6 was horrible.

The only thing I hate about MVP is that you couldn't shorten the season. Playing 162 games is fun but it takes forever.

There is NO argument that last yrs MLB game was horrid, i mean you cant possibly say that was a good game.
I at one point owned both MVP 05 and MLB 2K5 and ended up staying with 2K because i thought they offered the better overall game. Great presentation with great gameplay. I think 2K realized they messed up with 2k6 and i dont think theyll mess this one up.
