Hello Mods, and anyone else who has entered this thread.

This thread exists for one reason....music.

Why don't we have a music forum?! We have the 'Games' forum, the 'Comics' forum, but no 'Music' forum.

I think everyone on the SHH! Boards would like to chat about their favorite music. bands, etc.

IMO, we need a 'Music' forum. Think about it.

we do. it's PLAS' music forum. do a search for it.

We have a games forum because there are many games that are based on comic book charaters/superheros.

We have a COMICS section because this predominantly a site for comic based superhero films. It would be rather strange to talk about the films without talking about the comics... wouldn't it?

I know what you're going to say.... "Well, superhero films have music!" Yes, they do, but honestly, is that so big a topic that it requires its own forum? And cannot the soundtrack to a particular film be incorporated into the discussion of that film... the in part of the forum for that?

This is not an 'everything' site... as I stated above its main 'mission' is to provide a place to talk about superhero movies (which are primarily comic based). There are a few tangental sort of areas, yes... but they're loosely related.

We also provide a Community area for talking about those things that don't fit into the rest of the site. Talking about music, books, pop culture, politics, etc. is what Community was designed for.

People complain... "I don't want to post it there though... it's just spam." Well, if you don't post it, you let the people you call 'spammers' win. You're letting them drive you out. So why don't you post your topics. Think of it as a crusade to "Take back Community".

If you make a discussion thread and someone comes in and starts to spam it up... report them. We, as moderators, can't fix what we don't know about.

I don't know how many posts are made here a day... Malice or Drakon could probably give you an average (but consider there are individuals who average 100-200 posts a day)... but there are a lot. Rarely are there ever more than about 4-5 moderators/administrators active at one time. Sometimes there's only 1-2. We can't possibly read ALL the posts made on the site. So, I repeat, we can't take care of what we don't know about. If there's a problem... report it.

So you would make a Community Gameyard for spammers to spam about about pointless drivel but you wont make a music forum for people to chat about diffrent types of music, that cant all be shoved into one thread?

I don't recall any rule about any discussion of music topics needed to be confined to one thread.

And the games area is not a sure thing. It's simply a question posed to get the feel of folks. It may not happen.

Only time will tell, until that day comes i`ll be waiting in the wings to unleash my moan-a-thon ;)

Again, you can discuss anything you'd discuss in a music forum in Community now. I don't see that we're awash in music threads. We frequently are awash in games threads though. ;)
