Mom teaches 9 yr daughter about sex by letting her watch

Yeah, I just think that this is one of those cases where the mom was actually trying to be a good parent, and just screwed up royally. At least the girl is with her father now, and hopefully he isn't having sex in front of her.
Don't be too sure........:oldrazz:

That poor girl...this goes way beyond accidentally walking in on your parents having sex. She'll be scarred for life.
They wanted to teach her?! She was friggin' 9 yrs old...try helping her with her homework. Those have to be some of the most brainless parents I've ever read about.

The daughter wasn't molested, she wasn't raped. The mother does not deserve to go to jail, should a mother be arrested for letting her child watch a film with a sex scene? The mother exercised poor judgement but it shouldn't be considered illegal.

I'm surprised no one brought up that comparison in the first place.

I agree that jail is a bit harsh, but I also don't think it was a good idea on the mother's part. Movie sex and real life sex are a little bit different. Only amateur porn comes close to capturing what real sex is like.

jail is harsh...while its disgusting and vile..mom didnt really didnt committ a crime.

damnit darth..thats too much to read.lol

Pretty much, this is all you have to read here:

The Miller test was developed in the 1973 case Miller v. California. It has three parts:

* Whether the average person, applying contemporary community standards, would find that the work, taken as a whole, appeals to the prurient interest,
* Whether the work depicts/describes, in a patently offensive way, sexual conduct or excretory functions [1] specifically defined by applicable state law,
* Whether the work, taken as a whole, lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.

This Miller Test really applies to Speech and Expression, but I'll assume it could be applied here.

True, but i can imagine why so many people replied to this thread..is because they are fascinated with this.I bet some are thinking.. "Why wasn`t i the kid watching?" or "I wonder if i could do the same thing with my child..." dark, odd. But i know some are thinking this...if not..this topic would be already dead.

^ And since you bumped it after over 12 hours of death, you must be one of the ones thinking that way...
