Moon Knight

I think Moon Knight could work but their really going to have to get the tone right on this one otherwise it will end up like Night Man.
I think the costume is a problem in as much as the people you want to bring on board to the show have to make that leap. But considering the multiple personality aspect of the lead character that could be less of a problem if the show is engrossing enough.
They should use the recent comic runs of Daredevil as a template- the story is so good that you can forget that Matt Murdock hasn't put on the costume for a few issues and yet the focal point still remains Daredevil.

I'm really excited by the news of a Moon Knight series.

I remember when I heard that the Blade series made a Marc Spector reference I got really excited.

I hope they keep the multiple secret identities.

Hope so as well. What really holds the fate of this show IMO, is what channel gets it.

yay for moon knight he deserves it.

I'm enjoying the comic so far, so hopefully the TV series will be just as good.

We'll all have to wait and find out, I guess.

I bet they won't even go the costume route with this. Seriously, Moon Knight's is one of the hardest to get right, and only looks really cool because in comic books, white/silver gets all the shadowing the artist wants. Add in a cape and hood that are all over the place...

Here's hoping the show doesn't totally suck, but I doubt they'll be able to faithfully reproduce his costume.

The mention of Spector in Blade actually worries me a little. Cos it was in reference to his speciality being werewolves. I really hope they dont have the main antagonist for the show being werewolves masquerading as humans in a society the public doesnt see...

Need secret corrupt businessmen antagonists with a mythic connection for him to be constantly involved in. Kinda like stargate being mythic in what they are about, but every now and then you get an episode dealing with earth bound secret organisations and the like

Not bad. I would lose the underwear.
What's the point of doing a superhero movie/tv series if you don't keep the costume? Update it, make it a bit different but keep it.

Also - silver doesnt show well. a mid-grey with highlights and shadowed parts might work

The multiple identities should be shown. Other than being Moon Knight/Marc Spector, he also has the identity of millionaire Steven Grant. And taxicab driver Jake Lockley.

I hope they use Finch's artwork as a template for some shots.

im sorry but that looks like ravens white costume from the teen titans cartoon show. it looks nothing like moonnights costume from the comics, i dunno im starting to think that some things should be left where they originated from.

that's just cos its a skinny short guy wearing it and he has giant pants to go with it. makes his body look even shorter and more feminine. The hood being so huge doesnt help either

I wonder what network will pick up MK?

I have a feeling Moon Knight would be syndicated or go to something like SciFi, unless it's really really amazing and one of the big networks pick it up. DC properties usually have more luck with network TV because they have the Warner Bros. connection.

The company that is producing MK did some stuff that landed on the SciFi Channel (like First Wave), so I'm thinking that's the most likely. If they keep the scifi aspects.

I wouldn't mind some tweaking of the costume if it looks cooler on screen. A direct adaptation - like that pic above - looks like someone poured whiteout on somebody. I think as long as there's white being worn, with a mask and or hood and some kind of crescent shape - preferably a cape - they'll be fine. Just not too cheesy, we don't want the second coming of Night Man.

I really think the most important aspect - as I mentioned above - is the multiple personalities. Face it - the best Marvel TV series thus far wth The Incredible Hulk, and that was because it wasn't "let's do a superhero" it was more "let's examine the psyche of this guy." And it made for a really awesome show.

And still Aquaman and Global Frequency didn't make it past the pilot and Starman was killed at the script stage.

Aquaman was killed by The CW, not the WB. Had the WB continued, it would have been a guarantee.

Global Frequency, there was a change in regime which left the show out in the cold. I wouldn't be surprised if it would have been more expensive to produce just from royalties to Warren Ellis alone. I don't know.

And then Starman... ABC and Warner Bros. never had any kind of arrangement, so it was all "luck" really... not to mention, I hear the script was really, really bad.

you guys are kidding yourselves if you think this show is going to even survive a season. if blade can't make it, what makes you think this is?!

If they keep his costume its going to look really silly no matter how you look at it.
