I wish Street Fighter 6 looks as photo realistic as Mortal Kombat 1.

Unfortunately for both of these games, I'll wait for the Ultimate edition which is years away from now.

Glad to see that this is actually continuing the story from MK11 and not a hard reboot as speculated. I'm hoping this time we can get at least 3 post trilogy era characters that haven't been playable since Armageddon to make the cut. Havik, Reiko and Sareena would be my choices.

And when it comes to the original 7 characters, I think Kano should sit this one out. It wouldn't be the first time. If he does get in, then this will convince me that they're putting him in just for the sake of having all of the original 7.

The Kameo Fighters are where the real anger is going to be. I remember the outrage over assist trophies in Smash. I think the big names will remain core fighters. Its like Street Fighter, you are not going to escape the World Warriors as part of the roster.

I'd have no issue with him being a Kameo Fighter. Since it would probably improve the chances of someone that didn't make the MK11 roster getting in as a playable character.

And even Street Fighter had some games that didn't have all the WW present. Or at least weren't added until an updated version. Alpha didn't have all the WW until the console version of Alpha 3. Honda was only WW not to be on the SFXT roster(which flopped but not because of that). He was also the only WW not to be playable in the EX games.

And I have a feeling someone's gonna bring up SF3, so I'll mention it now. It's failure not just the lack of fan favorites from SF2 and the Alpha games. It had insufficient marketing, some might even call it nonexistent. During the late 90s to early 00s arcades were dying out in NA. More people were attracted to 3D fighters. And by the time it got a console release, the hype was dead and it was only on a niche console which would soon be out of date due to the PS2 and it's DVD player. But despite it's failure, people warmed up to the characters that debuted there and a good amount are asking for them to be put into SF6. Particularly ones that missed out on SF5.

And it's nice to see someone else grace the cover. Though I really think they should have like at least siX faces on the cover and I don't know they are just sticking to the one like with MKX and MK11.

Honestly I'm not a fan of it.

But if I'm given a choice, I would pick Ghostface, It and Neo.

I knew the game would have guests and I would have been okay with starting out with one. Maybe two. But three is overkill.

Iirc we got like 3 guest characters in both Mkx1 and Mk11. Mk11 definitely had at least 3. Injustice 2 as well.

It's not about how many guests there are altogether. It's how many they're starting off with. Looking it up, yeah MK11 did have three guests in the first Kombat Pack. But not MKX or Injustice 2. Both Kombat Packs in MKX had two guests. For Injustice 2, the first DLC pack had one guest. The second pack had two. And the third had one(the TMNT count as one).

I say bring on all the guests you want. It’s gimmicky and silly, but so what? These games are really just an excuse for people to experience new, brutal executions.

Some guests I wouldn’t mind seeing:

Ash J. Williams (Evil Dead series)

Furiosa (Mad Max)

Its a DLC.... you could just not pay for them if it bothers you so much. Unless you buy the Ultimate edition which is probably 2 to 3 years away from now.

Also, its the 12th game and Mortal Kombat is featuring more and more playable characters for every new game. Similar with Street Fighter.

I looked at the leak. It is 50/50 on the first DLC between returning and guests. I think guests are a very profitable for them.

Also, it appears the main characters will also be Kameos. And they are pulling deep for the Kameos.

Yes. You were only complainingabout "guests". You didn't mention that you wanted more MK characters as dlcs until the 3rd reply, which you made it about something else. Look at up your posts...

Takeda? So we still will get some of the characters from the previous timeline?

Quan Chi i feel should be in the main game, same as Ermac...but you gotta fill the DLC with a few MK characters i guess.

Peacemaker is cool as hell if true, there is a lot of fun things you can do...would be neat if John Cena voices him.

Homelander and Omni-Man kind of feel like the same template to be honest.
The same "evil Superman" type of character that kill people in a gory fashion.
Oh well, should be fun Fatalities either way.

The Trailer did what it was supposed to do, because i installed MK11 on my PS5 and will play through that before MK1.
I assume there will be quite a few people that buy MK11 that havent done so, or people who stopped playing will go back once more to it.
