I'll probably just get the standard edition, I'm done forking out rediculous amounts of money for "collectors" and "super collectors" editions. If you want to do something for your fans take a note from the LBP2 and Dead Space 2 collector editions... you get sweet stuff with them and they're 20 bucks more.

Reach was probably my last collectors anything unless they decide to only charge around 70-80 for collectors editions. When I think about it I probably shouldn't have even bought that one, I fell for the "limited statue!!!" stuff... but if you walk around my local EB/GameStops they're ALL over the store and only 80 bucks now.

Seeing the "figures" of Scorpion and Sub-Zero (more like statues) actually put me off off the Collectors... not that I would pay 100 bucks for it anyway. 60's enough and I sometimes think THAT'S to much for games....

It's another classic costume. Different than those the retailers are offering. No idea if it's also a classic fatality though. I think it's just the costume.

The retail "exclusive" ones, yes. I'm not so sure about the one from the collector's edition. I don't see why it wouldn't be since the other 3 are. I'm still getting the CE for the statue and art book.

I like it as well. I've seen a lot of hate for it though, but that's actually from people that hate and are sick of Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

I actually like this costume. Sure the mask/helmet looks like the Shredder (I guess that's why I like it), but still.

Maybe the costume wouldn't be as bad if it was over the character model of Sub-Zero from MK: DA... instead I think that's Raiden from MGS2 under that mask.

I was never a fan of that look, but I didn't mind it either.
I prefer the ninja look.

And the cover looks great.

MK has insufferable fan boys too. People are talking enthusiastically about the cover and potential guest characters here. Over on MortalKombatOnline there have been people threatening to boycott the game over Kratos, and a lot of *****ing about Sub-Zero and Scorpion being on the cover("I'm sick of NRS constantly shoving them down our throats like Capcom does with Ryu and Ken"). Uh, there's a reason for that. In both cases you're talking about far & away the most iconic characters of the franchise.

I tend to stay away from MortalKombatOnline. I mean, it used to be a pretty cool place but now it's just awful for the most part.

Scorpion & Sub-Zero are the face of MK (much like Ryu and Ken are for SF) and they also equal money. I remember the HUGE backlash MKIII had because it lacked Scorpion, heck I was one of the ones that did not buy MKIII on SNES originally, Scorpion was and still is a HUGE factor in MK for me, and I'm 27 years old, lol.

i loved them both. The aged Sub zero with the blue scar is my favorite.

So the Sub Zero that's on the cover is the good Sub Zero (without red scar) and not the bad one who turned into Noob Saibot?
