They've released the opening for the story mode. It starts with Shang Tsung and Kronika then cuts to the title card and transitions to the first chapter with Liu as the designated fighter.

Based from that opening, I'm assuming story mode will be Shang/Kronika heavy. If not, they will play a big role in the Aftermath eXpansion.

Megan FoX is a huge get! Now it made sense why Nitara was only revealed just now.

I have a feeling I would play as Nitara a lot.

I will just say this. I saw the end of the story mode. It goes absolutely ****ing bonkers.

A story DLC is definitely in the works.

I tried to watch the cutscenes but I only made it to the end of Chapter 4. Maybe I'll watch them at some point since it will be a long time since the DLC and a Komplete Kollection will come out. And I won't get to play this game until I bought a ps5.

I watched the cutscenes and the best thing about this is how they serviced such a large roster of characters from their back catalogue.

I'm surprised how prominent Quan Chi and Ermac were in the main game. The ones I was not really familiar with got good roles - Li Mei and Ashrah.

However, I got confused by the last few chapters when it became multiverse galore and plenty got an evil version that didn't really talk. So by the end of it, a lot of the characters got lost in the miX. Also why no Jade?

The one ending I saw is the one with multiverse Havik killing JaX. Not sure if that's similar to the other endings. Also Kronika is nowhere to be found in the final chapter, when she started this conflict. This isn't really a reboot, since they just continued from MK11. I'm hoping that MK13 would have no multiverse and that MK1 eXpansion, would end this storyline once and for all.

I watched the final ending with different playables and for some reason, the first cutscenes compilation I watched didn't have Havik as a selection for the Armaggedon section, so I thought that was reason why got he the last scene. But he was included in the endings montage I saw with all 23 playables, the part where the selected character says goodbye to Liu Kang.

I'm still not sure, if there's an alternate ending scene with JaX being killed for the very last scene. Or if only Havik got that special role in the last scene.

I don't know if it was NRS or WB's idea to hire Megan Fox to voice Nitara, but it was not a good one. She sounds so robotic. The worst thing about this is Nitara's yells, grunts etc are done by Christina Vee. Someone who not only does voice acting as a profession, but would likely cost less.

he's definitely playable based from the Armaggedon montage I saw. But I guess it makes now why he was unseleKtable at first.

Though a bit random they're teasing him as the neXt big bad for the eXpansion. Him and the other 3 in the final scene looked like amalgamation of mK Kharacters.

I cannot believe they are trying to charge $70 for that.

I assumed it is playable via cloud service.

The downgrade is real, but the Switch will never be capable of handling photo realistic graphiX or graphics on par with ps4/5 games that aren't cartoonish. So I'm not surprised. This is still a serviceable option for those who don't have a Playstation and XboX.

Honestly I'm not a fan of it.

But if I'm given a choice, I would pick Ghostface, It and Neo.

I'm curious who will be the 3 to 4 eXpansion characters if there's one for the story mode. Iirc most of Aftermath additions in MK11, were relevant in the story eXpansion and got their own chapter (Nightwolf, Sindel).

Jade would be nice as she was the only one I thought was really missing from the line up.

I'm still curious about other characters from MK4 to MK7 that i haven't been eXposed to yet. So more of those would be nice.
