so far, the last game had better alternate costumes
They ship Sunday night, Monday morning for release day shipping. Unless there is a holiday, then they start the shipping on Sat.When the hell does Amazon ship their games?I ordered for a release day delivery and if I'm correct I don't think if they'll send it Monday it'll get here the next day(unless I'm wrong).
MKX tomorrowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!! or tonight for some people, getting real now!!
im going to do my best to not play until i'm moved out to my new place Saturday...gonna be very tough though
It's amazing to see how this series has evolved with these past 10 major installments and 23 years.

Man, I still remember the "Mortal Monday" campaign when the 1st MK was released on the SNES and Genesis, as well as the "watered down" version on the SNES that toned down the fatalities and replaced the blood/gore with sweat.
I can't remember if they did preorders back then, but I think this was a game that I did "reserve" at Software Etc. if I remember correctly.
...........now I feel old.![]()
Oh God, I remember that. Granted, I played it when I was like 6, but I remember thinking that was lame.
I still remember my first Mortal Kombat game: Mortal Kombat Trilogy for the N64 because it was the first time I had played one and in my 2nd try ever, I won and was able to pull off a Fatality. I believe it was one of Kung Lao's Fatalities when he spins around and the opponent gets sucked in until nothing but he 5 rib cages, 10 legs, and 20 arms fall out. I remember thinking that was the sickest thing ever.....Until I played more of it.![]()
Yeah....and the SNES version was the one I reserved......lol.
I can't remember if I knew about the watering down before or after I got the game. Back then, the internet was just starting out. We didn't have sites like the Hype or IGN. We had to get our info from things called "magazines." ( shocking, I know. )
Though, by the time MKII came out, I do remember going online and frequenting "Bulletin Boards" to search for move and fatality info. The big thing back then at the arcades was pulling of those fatalities in front of other people......lol.
But even back then, there were internet trolls who posted made up **** online about the moves and fatalities. Guess human nature never changes.........
My first fatality was probably Sub-Zero's classic "head rip" fatality, since Sub was the 1st character I used.
Hell, my mom used to rent Mortal Kombat Trilogy for PS1 and whenever she would rent a copy of the game, there would be a half-sheet of paper full of Fatalities listed and whenever she would take it back and rent it again, the there would be another paper along with the original sheet full of Fatalities and Animalities.
She eventually bought the game for N64 and bought the Official Mortal Kombat Trilogy Fighter's Companion and wrote ALL of them down in the back and she passed it on to me. I still have it today.![]()
oh wow! that's so cool you're mom was a MK fan. You don't often hear that.....lol.
and, yeah, I would write down the moves and fatalities I found online on my post it notes and dutifully carried them with me to the arcades.
the good ol days..........![]()
The reason why I'm such a huge fighting game fan (in particular MK) is because of her. She used to tell me she would sometimes skip school and head over to the local Peter Piper Pizza and play MK1.
Ah, dem good 'ol 2D days.....![]()
