Mortal Kombat X

Finished the story yesterday and it definitely felt shorter and also easier than MK9. Played both on normal, but still [BLACKOUT]Corrupted Shinnok didn't seem nearly as cheap as Shao Kahn.[/BLACKOUT]

I'm not liking that I need a 2GB patch to play the single player.

Games shouldn't need a zero day patch , but it's the world we live in now. Release deadlines are met even with broken games, most of them require internet anyway so releasing patches later is not a problem. Games hardly work out of the box.

he's incorrect though. A patch isnt needed to play single player. it is for online. I cant think of a game that is released that requires a patch to play. Im sure someone might find one but to my knowledge every game released on disc with a single player component will run regardless of patch. A patch is there to do adjustments and fix issues like glitches and bugs caught after a disc has gone gold, but its not required. That stuff is required for online play/functionality however bc that relies on having software be up to date with what is current on the developer's servers

There are games in wich you can't advance past certain points with the out of the box version (often branded as "anti piracy measures"). Not Mortal Kombat X, though.

I'm pretty sure that's likely a PC thing anyway

It took me a few days of rematches to beat Shao Khan. This guy I beat first try

Well, that's going to go over real well with people.

I really like Goro's tower ending,Reptile's is pretty cool too

Ha I hate the spider creature pop up attack

Then the face size spiders in the Krypt will not please you.

I just went through the whole thing finding all the items and such. I thought it would give me something big at the end... Alas.

I'm curious if the writers have plans for the next one. To ever restore & save Liu, Kung & Kitana & Stryker & Nightwolf ? I guess one thing they could do is. Have the Quan Chi that died in X. Simply be a clone & the real one is waiting behind the scenes. For things to blow over. But now that Raiden is bad. Thats another problem. Unless another Elder God steps in maybe ?

I hope not. Let them be the evil ones from here on in.

I started the game and single player was "redded" out. Apparently, I need to download the patch.

I'm in college so I don't have a lot of time to play games, so when I wanted to play a little bit the other night, and I couldn't thanks to the patch taking forever to download, I was bothered.

Well thats weird bc I didnt need a patch to play. I pretty much jumped right into it and patched it up later

Its too bad the online play is for all intents and purposes broken at the moment. Ive only had one successful connection. Most times it wont find another fighter and when it does, it barely goes 10 seconds before desyncrhonizing

Anyone else disappointed in the fatalities this go round? I mean there's a few I like, but overall I prefer the fatalities from the previous game a bit more.

No. I think Boon outdid himself. I really like the cinematic approach to them as well. They are brutal. I just saw Kitana's default one and man that was sick

You are not alone. Also I was hoping the characters would have more than 2 each.
