Which character had the most icnic death. I picked Superman.

I pick Jason because as compared to Bucky, Jason's death was largely controversial as was his crappy resurrection.

2nd is the death of Kid MiracleMan (Or Kid MarvelMan to Brits)

3rd is the death of Winter from StormWatch

Superman

When you say most iconic death, do you mean the panel showing their death is an iconic image?
Or do you mean which death meant the most?

Because if you meant the first (which image was iconic) then I picked Gwen Stacey or Jason Todd. Both scenes were very powerful, they are the first ones I think of when I think of comic book death scenes.
Gwen is thrown off the bridge and Spider-man tries to save her, but ends up snapping her neck. The image of her falling from the bridge with spider web around her leg is a classic image from comic book deaths.

With Jason Todd the image of Batman carrying Jason's body is so iconic, the two coming out of a burning pile of rubble. I think it has even been reproduced different times, including Jim Lee and Alex Ross' image of Batman carrying the body of Blue Beetle.

But if you mean which death meant most, it has to be Superman. He is the FIRST superhero in comics ever. His death has to be most important because of that alone.

I voted Gwen Stacy cause it's the only one that's stuck.

Hmm, Superman, Captain Marvel (marvel one who died of cancer) and Gwen

I picked Gwen Stacy because of the impact it had on the Spidey-verse, and possibly comics as a whole. It's even been said to be the death that 'ended the Silver Age' as I've heard people put it.

Gwen Stacy.

It's also a great death simply because it actually meant something and...stuck. That's something Superman (and I'll wager) Captain America won't be able to say.

Superman, followed by Barry Allen and Gwen Stacy.

Golden age Batman? I guess thats just me lol

i'd have to say the death of Superman. While the story was sub-par for such an event it was really popular and Superman was the original hero...so seeing him die was pretty serious.

Jason Todd and Gwen Stacey get honorable mention. Also, i'll toss in the death of Dark Phoenix as well. The image with Cyclops holding Jeans' body is pretty iconic.

Could we get scans of these comic deaths?

I've only seen the Superman one (from here) and Gwen Stacy's...I've never seen how these other characters died.

Supergirl, Bart Allen (Impulse, Kid Flash 2, The Flash), Jason Todd, Dark Phoenix, etc...

I remember the death of superman...it turned comics into mass hysteria and everyone and their mother was looking for that issue of Superman 75...DC Comics sold 4 million copies of that issue.

I can get you a scan of Kara's (Supergirl) death and probably Barry Allen's as well if you give me a bit of time.
