Maybe it's just where I live but just about every gas station or hotel is owned by an Indian person.

Has anyone else encountered this?

I noticed they're plentiful in Alberta, Canada. The red man is scarce in Toronto, relatively!

And the most random reference possible goes to...

I hate it when people call Native Americans "Indians".

Well they have to work somewhere... Alot of ethnic groups around my area

Well, Indians usually are smalltime businessmen, as in, a gas station here, a 7-11 there, maybe a small business somewhere else...

Yeah, doctors, engineers, businessmen... that sorta thing...

Not everything... not very many teachers, militarymen, cops, firefighters, that sorta thing...

Well I once worked in a gas station with an Indian. That guy was seriously the funniest person I ever worked with. He wouldn't take any **** from customers, ever.

"I didn't know the expiration date on the gas coupon was actually observed, I come here a lot so-"

"THEN NO GAS FOR YOU! NEXT!"

ture...fire is our only weakness...but we will find a cure

I'm such a dick to my Indian friend, whenever we go to 7 Eleven I tell him to bust out his employee discount. :o

I can't speak for all Native Americans but "Indians" isn't usually considered as offensive in NA circles as other slurs are to particular racial groups. Now it's off-shoot, "injun" is a different story.

BTW, I'm quite aware that Socko was speaking of people from India.
