Do I not watch enough movies, or has there never been a more memorable opening credit scene than Napoleon Dynamite? I'm not even much of a fan of the movie, but I'll never forget that opening credit sequence.

Another one that will always stand out for me are the Superman opening credits. One of the greatest scores ever composed with the flashy letters flying through space.

What are some of the most memorable opening credit sequences that managed to turn what is usually boring humdrum into something fun to watch?

Superman The Movie
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (well the logo and the whole opening cartoon)
The Brave Little Toaster
Childs Play 2 & 3
Batman (1989)
Predator
Alien
Aliens

Star Wars, Superman, Spider-man, Aliens, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factorys opening credits were cool.

Superman The Movie's definitely up there.
Fight Club's was insanely cool.

Does Star Wars count? We're talking opening credits here, right?

There were no opening credits for Star Wars unless the new Lucasarts logo blows you away. :D

I forgot about Fight Club. Good stuff, especially when you consider how it relates to the movie. Isn't that the most expensive opening credit scene in movie history? I remember reading an article how Fincher had to fight to save it.

THE BURBS...going from Earth orbit down to the neighborhood in a single take.

Se7en
Spider-Man
Superman The Movie
Superman Returns
Batman(1989)
Fight Club
Pulp Fiction
Terminator 1 & 2

What was the opening credits to Fight Club? I can't even remember..

As for my favourite opening credit sequence; Ginger Snaps. That opening credits has beat all the others I have seen before or since hands down by far.

Total Recall.

Great music and some trippy red light effects.

Bloodrayne: Unrated Director's Cut had nicely done opening credits. The Thing had a cool opening credit logo.

Ahhhhh what about the Naked Gun movies!

Classic.

Spider-man 1 & 2 and Terminator 1 & 2

Batman & Robin. :o

The opening credits were easily the best part of the movie.
Well, that and the scene when Batman and Robin "snowboard" off the spaceship doors. :o :(
