Most pretentious artist/music?

Mars Volta for example. Don't get me wrong, they have great music style, but their lyrics are too gawddarn pretentious. I dunno a soul that's ever figured them out (PLAS, anyone?). I guess that's what makes em stand out.

Uggh...He's SO overrated. The only reason he wrote "good" lyrics cause he was high all the time. If he could actually write good material while not on drugs, the he could have been a genius. But I fail to see it.
