Ayo- of the Dora Milaje! Glad she's back! Thought she was being re-cast by Danai or Lupita's character/s.

She must fight BW!

So we now know her character's name.....nice.

It'll be hard to top her moment in civil war.

Interesting choice. Also since Ayo is a lesbian in the books I wonder if this will be the movies' first actual LGBT character?

I wonder if she'll get the Midnight Angel Armor in this film. I'm hoping the Dora turning on BP as has happened in Coates' ongoing doesn't happen yet in the MCU.

Florence Kasumba is in the MCU and DCEU.

Kasumba has a small role as Senator Acantha in Wonder Woman as well.

I don't want to see the midnight angels in this first film. I want to focus on acknowledging Wakanda's army and of course the Dora Milaje.

As for the DM turning on T'Challa there's only one member who could potentially do that and that’s Nakia BUT Coates' run is annoying the hell out of me. He's pushing his own agenda based on ignorance and is completely bastardising the character and the mythology. I hope to God Coogler uses as little as possible from Coates' run.

I'd like to see her relationship with Aneka at some point. The movies need to stop being scared of showing LGBT characters eventually.

Aneka and Ayo's relationship would be cool to see if nothing else just to shut those up and that includes Coates who think the DM are merely looked upon bith from the perspective of T'Challa and the male gaze as something exclusively ornamental with limited functionality as sex objects even though history has clearly stated otherwise.

I'm probably the only person to say this, but I could not stand her character in Civil War. I just wanted to see Black Widow slap her or something.

I bet there'll be a scene where there's a wink wink nudge nudge type thing where she puts her hands around another woman's shoulders but nothing stronger than that which is a shame. Anyway I'm glad to see her again!

If they do anything with her character's source sexual orientation it will be subtle at best I am thinking.

I hope she is right in the thick of things action wise

Disrespect, I'd suspect.

That's what made her so awesome to me. She had no respect for anyone but T'Challa. Why would she? And the fact that she could back it up just made it that much more awesome.

I also think it's funny how Ayo is THE closest to the camera whenever the Dora are on screen.

I didn't notice her much in my first viewing. I went again today and she had a lot of screen time.

When T'Challa and Okoye arrive.
On the boat.
T'Challa and Nakia walking through street she is body guard.
Both Ritual battles she is around, she speaks too.
Final fight.
Credit scene.

She had maybe 2 more lines than in the last film.

But it was great that she was around and kicking butt.

She needs to be brought back for the sequel

Agreed. And make her super gay. We can handle diverse heroes, we can definitely handle a gay dora milaje. I wonder who will play Aneka?
