MOVIE JUGGERNAUT! ARE YOU MAN ENOUGH!
Why
While thinking about my movie tournament thread I notice far too many holes in it for what I was trying to accomplish which was simply to promote awareness of movies not usually seen and to have engaging discussions, I came up with a better and simpler idea...
What
Object of the Game: Debating Whether a Movie is Good or Bad
How to Win: To be the player with the highest points
How to Play:
The Game will be played in rounds, and every round will have phases...
Phase 1: Sign Up
Every round will have a sign-up phase, and every round no matter how many times you've played or not played, you can sign up.
Phase 2: Annoucement
A movie will be annouced that players will have two weeks to track down and watch, then report back saying whether they liked it or disliked it.
Phase 3: The Debates
All the participants who manage to track down the movie and watched it will be seperated into two teams, those who think it was good and those who think it was bad. A public thread will be made in which the teams will debate each other on whether it was a good or bad film, the people of this board who have not seen the film will vote whether think the movie is good or bad based on the debates, the players of the team that wins will each get a point for that round.
And then this would be the end of the round, and a new one will begin.
Every round will be hosted by a mediator, each round will have a different mediator, the mediator will have a host of duties. The first will be picking the movie for the round. The second job will be the over-seeing of the competition such as thread-making and all the like. The third will be over-seeing the debates, and pentalizing the following: Insults, Baseless Flames, Thread-Farting, lack of participation, and/or any other problems that might arise. And lastly the mediator will pick the next mediator for the following round. SO WHO'S WILLING TO PLAY!
