Movie Posters!: An underrated art form of masterpieces

I love movie posters, and I definitely know I'm not the only one. Movie posters, along with trailers, can make or break a film's marketing, though unlike trailers, they're more accurate in giving a glimpse of what the movie's tone will be like.

It's funny, but I saw a few long term posters dissing that TDKR poster(the one on the left) because they thought it was so weak it was obviously fan art, and now they know it's officially from the management, they will probably go round for the rest of their lives saying what a great poster they think it is, haha.

They're just not as eye catching as they used to be. The floating head syndrome is what did it. And when Photoshop became available to everyone with a computer, they just got lazy.

Yeah, Photoshop has made the movie posters so easy to do now that they all tend to look similar. In the pre-Photoshop days posters were artworks in and of themselves, nowadays anyone can knock something up in a couple of hours. It's a lost art form unfortunately.
