Movie Stars Have Become an Endangered Species

Poorly written article. Argument gets lost at the end talking about trouble with actors and directors with film critics.

I will always have my favorite actors/actresses that will make me curious to check out their new movies but at the end of the day it is all about the subject matter of the movie & whether it interests me or not so my favorite actors/actresses become a second priority at this point.

I dont think a true blue "movie star" exists anymore. Obviously there are celebrities, popular actors, but not movie stars

And I actually don't think that's a bad thing. Hopefully it can lead to more effort being put into the film as a whole instead of just banking that people will show up to see a particular star. Also hopefully it can lead to fewer Johnny Depps- actors who are able to demand insane price tags but then offer very little effort.

Double this.
