Drama Here directed by Zemeckis starring Tom Hanks, Robin Wright

I always like when actors work together even if it is years later and I am a LONG time fan of Zemeckis so I am there no matter what

Anyone else think Sony knows this is another Zemeckis turkey and that's why they're barely promoting it? I've not even seen the trailer for this in the theaters all summer. Even Saturday Night is getting more publicity and that's a possible Oscar contender.

I am REALLY looking forward to this one for sure

Not surprised. Not Pinocchio-bad, but still. This is what Zemeckis gets for using AI.

That’s disappointing. I was really looking forward to this. It had all the ingredients of something great. I’ll judge for myself but I still can’t believe Zemeckis fumbled Welcome to Marwen and Pinocchio so bad.

Zemeckis has really been on a downward spiral, huh? I feel like the last actual good movie he did was The Walk and only like 10 people saw it (I was one of them :o).

There's something very we photoshopped their faces on different bodies about this

I liked the concept, but I expected it to get bad reviews. Zemeckis hasn't been great for a while

He's one of those directors like Ridley Scott who can make as many bad movies as he wants but his career will never really be tarnished because of it due to what he's got on his resume. In his case we're talking Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Cast Away, etc.

That’s the thing though, people kind of wrote him off post-Polar Express, but he’s actually made some pretty good films since. As you mentioned, The Walk and Flight are pretty great!

I also have a soft spot for Beowulf and A Christmas Carol which I think is highly underrated. I know the mo-cap doesn’t hold up at all, but on their own those films are actually pretty good with some stellar performances. I just know people can’t get past their look.

As far as his animated movies go I thought Beowulf and A Christmas Carol were fine but I was disappointed by The Polar Express because it was one of my favorite books as a kid and the movie by comparison just feels hollow.

In any case I'd still take any of them over The Witches or Pinocchio.

Mars Needs Moms? :o

God, I hope this isn't Zemeckis's villain origin story where this is the last straw that makes him snap and direct Back to the Future 4 out of spite. :o

I saw it today... it's exactly what you think it is. Most of the deaging stuff looks convincing except for one part.

Also this movie is exactly this:
