Was watching WarGames the other day, first time in a while, and was surprised at how well it holds up. Same thing with Young Sherlock Holmes. Was wondering if anyone else has had the experience of revisiting childhood favorites and finding them better than you'd anticipated.

Tron sill holds up even to its sequel. The CGI artistry provides a unique sense of other worldliness. It feels like people are in a computer and not just a futuristic city.

Star Wars (1977),ESB, ROTJ all hold up amazingly despite the limitations of the technology of the time, as does Aliens - but I guess none of that is a surprise really.

Okay, a film I thought would come across as very dated was Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. However, it's still good fun nearly 30 years on, and Rickman's performance is a joy to watch.

Dragonslayer, also holds up really well. I submit that Vermithrax Pejorative is a much more menacing Dragon than even the recent CGI Smaug.

The Fugitive. Doesn't feel like a 1993 film at all

Perfect example of a great thriller

I think The Mask holds up amazingly well considering the amount of CGI from 1994. It's cartoonish and it works because of the character, but the quality of it is still quite good too.
