well thats why were looking for rental homes, ive looked at a few so far around Inglewood that go for 2000-4000 a month. split between 5 people, we should have enough.

^ i know there are alot, but its not all skate and surf, its clothing, cds and dvds,
board rentals, tatoos and piercings and maybe selling tobacco products.

That's every business at the beach that's not a bar, restaurant or liquor store.

well i've been put down all my life, and this is something i really want to do, i can learn on my own time about opening a business, i can ask my friend Cory, his dad owns one, my dad owns one i can ask him too.

and i don't want to work at fast food places, i wanna do something great with my life.

it's NOT the greatest of areas but if you can make it work.. and it's pretty close to the beach... its about 10-15 mins

So you're friend with the business schooling is 20, meaning he probably didn't finish college or just got an associates degree, which doesn't really mean much as it's probably from a community college.

Wait, what? An associate's degree is an associate's degree: the first two years are pretty much equivalent no matter where you go. It's when you move on to your bachelor's degree that the difference between schools becomes important.

Community college is an awesome choice. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

school isn't for most people, i'm smart but hate doing the work, i know all the answers in class but i'm am In fact to lazy to do any HW. id much rather drop out and start new some ware else.

and with 5 people living together with jobs, it will happen, quit putting me down ass hole, it will happen.

Also if you're too lazy to put in the work for school, where will the motivation to put the work into your business come from. I can guarantee it's gonna be infinitely more work than high school, are you prepared to put in 70-80 hours a week to get this off the ground. Also you're gonna need a loan, who's gonna lend money to a kid who was to lazy to finish high school?

thats true, but id put in the effort if it meant making a good living in the long run, i know i wont have the same chances as a person who passed HS and college but i still have some chances.

Assocaite's Degree is good, but you're not gonna be learning a lot about business in that program, only the basics, not nearly enough to think you'll be able to open you're own business. I wouldn't be laughing about an associate's degree if it was under different circumstances, but Ice-Man's talking about this guy being the person that will pretty much manage their shop.

Some parts of Long Beach is good, mostly downtown if you can afford it. Santa Anna is probably the worst city in the O.C. Carson is right next to Compton and Whittier is mostly a mexican neighborhood.

On the other hand, there have been some rather savvy and skilled entrepeneurs that have hardly any schooling at all. Those are extremely rare, however.

If he's gonna go through with this, he's gonna need a heavy helping of luck...and some creativity couldn't hurt.
