Moving to Cali

^awesome I salute you, I hope to get that far in my studies one day.

It took me 5 years but what the hell. More school ahead for me since I hope to attend med school.

LA is completely awesome, and I couldn't imagine moving away from it. But I have to work like 5 jobs to make my rent, and I have TWO degrees. Granted, I live in Studio City, which is fairly high end, and I am working part time jobs so I can pursue my writing, but I have a feeling I am going to be seeing Iceman out at Venice Beach with a henna tattoo stand, or a sign that says, "Pleez help."

Get yourself a place with your friends at home and at least learn from experience what it costs to live on your own. It is a lot harder and more expensive to live out here than it is there. If you have trouble there you have no hope here. Also find out if you can live together. Just because you are friends doesn't mean you can get along living in the same place.

yea i know id have to find a job, i said something like that back some pages, when the time comes il look on wanted ads around a good area in cali, it dosnt have to be in la, i just needs to be near la.

so my sister dosnt have to drive long distances to get to ucla.


im gonna get everything worked out before i make the move, im not stupid enough to go there with nothing.

naa, oceanside NY is getting really expensive, people are starting to move cuz of how much it costs to live here, any wear on Long island is going up in price drastically, moving is my best option, i can at least save some money. not waste.

im in no rush to move, its just i have no choice, my parents want me to go, they don't want my sister living on her own, and they think this experience will be a good thing for me.

If she's going to UCLA she might be able to apply for a campus residence.

If you want a good job in the future you need to get work now, to build up an experience base and good references. What kind of work are you doing now? What kind of work are you capable of doing? What kind of work do you enjoy doing?
