Yep. Unfortunately there is this terrible disease ccalled fanboyitess it consumes whole persons with little else to do. For example, when Spider-Man was a full year and a half from release (back in early 2001) a site was opened about how organics were evil and it was called oroganics sucks or anti-organics or something. Two of the most notorious banned posters on this site (the infamous Mr. Parker and bakerboy) would spam this site and go to that site. It closed at film's release but then all of its worshippers came her eand *****ed for a good 2 years AFTER THE MOVIE CAME OUT.

If that ain't sad, I don't know what is. Now with cragisnotbond (if it exists) the trend continues, but hopefully will die down after the movie (if he is good then people will shut up and if he sucks he will see Dalton sized fall out). Oh well.

Indeed. I was speaking that there was an enitre website devoted to it. Eventually it closed and turned the 300 page thread (at the film's release) into an ongoing thread for TWO YEARS after the movie was released. That thread I remember was closed at 800 pages. And then a second one started and went for about 200 pages and got closed and finally Parker and bakerboy and spiderfreddie and all those schmucks were banned from the site.

I remember it with an eye roll. That was back in the day when I was the fanboy they describe (albeit it was for Spider-Man more than any one else with Superman in a distant fourth to Batman and the X-Men), however I have grown....apathetic and really am no longer that obsessive. I would say I fell to that 5.2 point on the scale he said (which may be why my posting here has taken a huge decline). But I remember those days and my heated rage towards posters like Mr. Parker.

Now I look back and just shrug and go "I can't believe I wasted so much time debating the most anal retentive things," which is funny because now I see others doing it on this board in all threads and forums and I realize that was me only some years ago.

Now I'm just rambling, but fanboys will always be narccistic and pesmistic and full of venom towards anything that doesn't fit their singular and unwavering interpretation of what the superhero movie should be. The only movie that seems bullet proof to that is Batman Begins which is funny....because I think there have been better superhero movies (now comes the part where I run from the fanboy that argues subjective opinion as fact)....

    Just kidding. ;) :p
