Ever since I got iTunes 7.0, my iPod nano has been acting screwy. Whenever I plug it into my computer, it doesn't show up in Windows, iTunes, or My Computer and I cannot put any music on it. I went to the Apple website and did everything they said to fix it, but nothing worked. Can anyone help me?

apart from that is your iTunes working ok?

but your computer isn't recognizing your iPod? You sure there's nothing wrong with your USB cable?

I used two different USB cables. My sister's iPod worked with both of them, but mine won't. my iPod will charge, but it won't do anything else.

erm, I dunno man. Check your updater and sit tight till jag shows up.:o

well i guess I should post my topic here as well. It tells me that I should restore it because it is corrupt, but I try and it says that it cannot. :( HELP!

You might need to update the software on your iPod, but if you've already done this, then never mind.

yeah, i've done the 5 R's but i dunno...i heard that the new Ipod shuffles are having problems so maybe it's just that :(

all of a sudden, it works now...i dunno what's wrong with it...one question though, when it charges the light is orange right? i can't remember

How come iTunes doesn't have some songs,is there a way to download the songs you want to your iPod without using iTunes?

I'm assuming you have the second generation shuffle?

To your first question, because the record companies don't license their entire catalogs to the iTunes Music Store. No licensing, no sale of the song or album. They've licensed a pretty good chunk of stuff, as have most of the Indie labels, but there's still stuff that's not there. To your second question Google is your friend.

Try a full uninstall of iTunes and Quicktime (I'm assuming you're running Windows), reboot and then reinstall the full iTunes/Quicktime package again. For some reason, the install frequently goes haywire with Windows installs of iTunes and that seems to correct it.

that's what i did but it's probably because I have a lot of stuff on my computer and it's starting to run slow.

Hi, I had some troubleshooting problems with my Ipod as well. Your problem sound strange though I will suggest updating the drivers or reinstall the Itunes program. Did it work before you downloaded it? I had some good success solving my problems with a tech support site that have live chat support that you can use for free.

Here is the page for Ipod Repair

Good luck
