I have a music question, when you watch any pirate movie, what type of music genre would call it when their traveling the seas or during sea battles? Not looking for soundtracks but certain type of music genre like classical, rock and that type or genre.

I'm looking for kind of exciting orchestral music that you usually hear out of pirate movies during battles (land and sea) and the adventurous traveling at (or air) type music.

i just call them film scores. i am not aware of their actual name.

it's orchestral like you said, but not exactly classical either.

Yea I just call it movie music Hans Zimmer did the scored for POTC didn't he? I like the Jack Sparrow theme. Try searching for that.
