Seriously - If their going to do the Joker properly then it will need to be rated R-18 or at least M-15 like Tim Burtons Batman. If the rumour is true and their going to be using The Killing Joke as the main source for the movies story then, as people who have read it will know, theres some real messed up stuff in there.
The Joker will need to be a psychotic maniac who will actually scare the audience and , as fantastic as Begins was, i dont think a PG-13 will cut it for The Dark Knight.

ahem, WROOOOOONG!!!

Once again.

Kids like Batman.
WB likes money.

Kids = money.

Therefore, PG-13.

No way! Batman movies should always stay at PG-13!!!

Boom is a genius.
Is that sarcasm ?

I'm not acting smart. I'm stating the obvious. Anyone who thinks this movie will be Rated R is kidding themselves. WB wouldn't allow it.

Well unfortunately , i am neither a child OR an executive at WB , therfore i have NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER in seeing a watered down joker just so some kids can get in through the front door of the theater and so the studio can make even more money that they can spend on big houses and flash cars for themselves. Why would i care about that?

I don't know what you want us to tell you, dude. Either get used to it, or don't see the film. It WILL be PG-13. WB wants it that way, Bale wants it that way, and Nolan most likely wants it that way.

Oh, for the love of God, how many times do we have to repeat it... WB IS NOT GONNA MAKE AN R-RATED BATMAN MOVIE!! JUST FORGET IT!!! And no, you don´t need an R-rating, there are ten thousand ways to portray Joker´s vioence and sadism without explicit gore.

haha. lay off him guys. hes jus t a noob rite?

altho if batman did have an r rating that means they could finally put sum cool stuff on the soundtrack.

may b they could get m c hammer to do sum songs, like in the first one u know?

Don't you guys get it yet? num1batfan=troll.

And I don't know WHERE people get the idea that in order to "properly" portray the Joker (or Batman, for that matter), the movie needs to be "R" rated. "R" rated content does not automatically mean it's a better movie.

Hell, they can make the Joker as crazy as they want and still get a PG-13 rating. Have any of you seen the show "Heroes?" There's a guy on that show who SAWS OPEN PEOPLES HEADS AND STEALS THEIR BRAINS. And that sh** is on TV.

Right. Another couple of examples from TV -- CSI shows can get pretty grisly, Criminal Minds has some pretty sick stuff going on, stuff that would make the Joker look tame. An "R" rating is not necessary at all.

M-15 what the heck is M-15, sounds like a gun or a explosive not a rateing

I believe it's part of the British rating system, probably Mature-15 yrs. of age minimum.

I wonder how many interview Bale and Jackman did in that little set, so far I have seen two.

M-15 isn't british. The ratings here are U, Uc, PG, 12a, 15 and 18.
