Synopsis

In an alternative universe the lines between good and evil shall become blurred

When Peter Parker a shy and withdrawn young man comes into contact with a mysterious power. Peter iis granted incredible gifts of might to strike back all who have mocked and humilliated him. However when a terrifying being known as the Green Goblin Peter must us his powers to save his true love Gwen from the madman.

We open onto a large hall of a University. A tall lanky, brown haired almost paper thin boy of about 19 is shoved hard on to the ground . Flash Thompson large and imposing towers above the lanky boy


Flash {cold menace}

Now Parker the next time I see you checking out my Gwen. I will rip your eyes out and shove them down your throat!

Peter ( almost sobbing with terror)

I, I,m sorry I swear I never meant anything by it.

Flash
{Sneers)

Do you really think that someone like Gwen would really be interested in a snivelling little book worm like you!

Flash turns around stalks away leaving Peter alone and pathetic on the ground.

Later Peter is sitting at his desk staring in adoring admiration at a young blond. This is Gwen Stacey

Voice
(From behind Peter)

Still pinning for her are we?

Peter spins around spots his friend Harry Osborn approaching Harry is a tall and thin with a lean muscular frame in stark contrast with Peters almost skeletal body. Harry has brown eyes that sparkle with intelligence but betray a brooding loneliness.

I cant help it Harry I have felt this way about her the moment I saw her

Miles Warren a tall stocky man in his mid to late forties enters long hair falls to his shoulders as he surveys the assembled students.

Warren
(Clears throat)

Now before we go to Oscorp I just want to say behave it is a great honour that Norman Osborn has permitted to tour his research facility so whatever you do don’t touch anything.


Warren begins to herd the students out of the room like Sheep

this could be the start of a completely new life for anyone of you.

Scene2

Peter and the other students trundle down the corridors of Oscorp a female tour guide escorts them in-between various pieces of equipment. She stops at an open glass case filled with small meteor rocks

Tour guide

And these rare rocks were brought here in the late nineties they have been seen before in this part of the universe a truly rare find

Peter begins to hear a strange sound radiating from the case slowly the sound forms into words

Voice
(Screaming in rage and frustration)

The bastard, the fool took everything away from me. Gone, everything gone, cold oh god so cold!

Peter moves closer the voice growing louder and more desperate with each passing second.

Peter touches the meteor the pitiful begging now rages through his brain.

Harry

Peter are you alright.

Peter starts dropping the meteorite

Peter y, yeah im ok.

The meteor cracks open something quivers free from the inside a wet slippery red substance wriggles out still uttering threats and whimpering for help it latches on to the pocket of Peters bag and shuffles awkwardly into the warm comforting darkness. Peter did not hear the soft but disturbingly human laugh escape his bag as he continued the tour .

Scene 3 Please note one of the characters that appears in this scene is their movie incarnation not the Comic incarnation.

Peters walks in through his front door . Aunt May a tall woman in her early to mid fifties with greyish hair
comes out of the kitchen to greet him.

Aunt may
Hi honey how was your trip?


Peter fine it was weird but fine.

Aunt May do you want something to eat?


Peter No im fine I think I will go to bed.

Peter walks off to his room shutting his door softly behind him. The room is not what you would

expect from a nineteen year old the room is tidy, posters of planets and famous scientists are draped across the walls. Peter sits at his desk and looks at a photo of his uncle Ben.

Peter
(Softly talking to himself)


Uncle Ben its been a year since he died a mugging but I was to weak wasn’t able to save if I had more strength I could punish the one who did it.


Peter gets up and pulls of his shirt and trousers and clambers in to bed. The red Substance slithers out of the bag and pushes itself towards the bed.


Voice
( Coming from the Substance crying out in pain


Not far now, come on push you can do this!


It reaches Peter and begins to cocoon him in wet sticky folds.


Peter opens his eyes and finds himself looking at a dreamscape. Icy winds rip around a huge web

suspended above a great chasm of darkness. In the heart of The web sits a young man with blond hair he is wearing a grey t shirt soaked with either sweat or water, He rocks back and forth his hands press against his head.

Man
( Giggling in the same voice that came from the substance


Oh he is here the saviour is come.


Peter are you alright?

Man
Its still in me you now


Peter what is?


Man
The failure, all around me seeping into my soul. Its all because of him, I got my photos fairly tried hard very hard.

Peter


( confused)


Photos

Man

yeah I had everything a beautiful woman , power all gone now.

Peter can I help you

Man give me your hands

Peter holds out his hands to the man he grips them and a rush of light erupts around them


Man


( Almost choking with excitement)


Yes! I can move I can feel again.

Peter suddenly jerks upright in bed drenched in sweat breathing heavily.

I like the dialogue but I'm just a little bit confused on whats going on.
I do like how Uncle Ben died and Peter Parker could do nothing about it. Makes him seem like a helpless kid with a lot of rage held within himself.

Scene 4


Peter looks around wildly sheer confusion and terror guiding his movements.


Voice

(Speaking inside Peters head )

Its ok just relax ,calm down

Peter

(terrified)

What the hell are you!

Voice

Just a friend so get to grips with me , we are going to be spending a lot of time together.

Peter

What do you want?

The man appears again this time in a large mirror.

Man

(thinking)

Hmmmmmm good question what do I want? To feel, to walk. oh by the way do you like the suit.


Peter looks down and realises he coated in the sticky red substance.

Peter

What’s this thing?


Man

A Symbiote and my home.


Peter

Oh


Man

It does all sorts of cool Jazz


Peter

(Excited )

Like?


Man

Enhanced strength and speed, warns you of danger. I can talk to you from within it.

Peter

And


Man

Gives you a better physique.

The Suit slides of exposing a strong muscular, toned upper body

Peter

Whoa.


Peter gets ready for university as the suit reattaches itself as he gets dressed. A large fanged mouth, huge eyes form over his face as he practises with the suit.

Man

So kid what’s your name?


Peter

Peter Parker

The mans personality completely alters. He screams in rage and flings himself up against mirror clawing the glass. Huge tentacles burst of his back and writhe around.


Man

( hysterical rage)

No, no, not this again anything but that.

After a full ten minutes of ranting and sobbing . The man slumps to his knees the tentacles recede back in into his shaking sweat soaked body.


Man
( gasping for breath)

Sorry I just get so worked up as I said the Peter I knew ruined my life.


Peter

We should get moving

Peter runs down stairs and hurries out the front door.

Scene 5


We open into a large office Harry Osborn stands before his father Norman Osborn a powerful man in his mid forties.


Norman

( angry)

Harry how dare pry into my business


Harry

Well maybe if you spent more time with me.


Norman

You know what that stuff can do it hasn’t been tested


Harry

( arrogantly)

I think I am perfectly capable of handling the serum.


Norman

Keep your voice down

Harry why? worried I might spill some of your precious government secrets? maybe I will go and chat to Wilson Fisk about it.

Norman rises from his chair and strikes Harry around face.


Norman

Get out!

As Harry storms out Norman collapses coughing. Norman pulls out a sheet of paper.

Norman

( reading)

The cancer has spread to the lungs.


Norman reaches into his desk and pulls out a syringe sparkles with green liquid.


Norman

( Murmuring)

Not been tested yet but for life anything.

He plunges the syringe into his arm his eyes shimmer and turn yellow slits appear in the irises. Norman slumps forward unconscious.




Cut to University

Peter strides into the lunch hall. The soothing familiar voice creeps into his head


Voice

So where are we going?



Peter

To see Gwen


Voice

Gwen?


Peter

Yes I’ve loved her the moment I met her
Peter spots Gwen and walks up to her the Symbiote giving him confidence



Peter

( jovial)

Hey Gwen I was wondering would you like to come out with me for a

Voice
Ask her for a bloody coffee

Peter

A coffee at the weekend.


Gwen

Urm yeah I would like that.


Flash

(From behind Peter)

Parker what the hell are you doing?

Peter

Oh hey Flash I was just asking Gwen if she wanted to get a coffee with me. ( turning back to Gwen) How about a film afterwards?

Flash lashes out with a large fist Peter side steps it and shoves Flash to the ground

Peter

So Gwen see you then later babe.


As Peter walks home a large hulking figure rises up behind him hold a large bit of wood. The plank collides with Peters head sending him sprawling into an alleyway.

Scene 6


Peter collapses onto a pile of rubbish. Flash Thomson grunts and swings at him again

Flash

( raging)

You dare, you dare take my girl away from me.

Peter

( laughs)

I have put up with some serious **** from you over the years, but no more.

Flash kicks him.



Flash

your pathetic Parker.


Peter

Oh pathetic am I it wasn’t your body Gwen was eying up was it?


Flash!

Shut up!

Flash smacks the piece of wood against the ground. Vibration rattles through the ground the Symbiote twists and howls and tries to leap off Peter.

Peter
( desperate ramblings)


n, no God no please don’t leave me I need you.


Voice

Make it stop, just make it stop! ,Stop the noise!


Flash

You are insane.

Peter

( talking to the Symbiote)

Ok, ok I will try just try to fight it for a bit longer,

Peter sends out a large tentacle it spears into flashes chest his eyes go wide as it drains him dry leaving nothing behind.


Peter

Wh what have I done.


Peter gets up and looks at the spot where Flash had stood.

Peter

(Starts to laugh)

I just kicked arse .

Still laughing Peter walks home.

Scene 7


Peter stands at his bedroom window staring at the night sky. He breathes in his eyes glimmer with a dark demonic glow.


Peter

Lets go and play.


Voice

Good boy your starting to learn


Peter puts out his hand a sticky red rope shoots out and he gently swings off the large Symbiote face forms over his face.


Peter

( yelling in animalistic excitement)



This feels great

Voice


well im glad I am making you happy


Peter spots a young girl being mugged


Mugger

Look just give me the bag

Girl

No let go!


Peter calmly walks up behind the mugger and flips him round to face him


Mugger

Oh God please don’t hurt me

Peter

( breaks the muggers neck)

Sorry buddy we are the Spider and you are our prey.

Peter turns his back to the girl and dishes a diamond necklace from her bag and pockets it. He throws the bag to the girl and walks away. The Symbiote morphs into a tight black t shirt and jeans


Voice

( agitated)

The Spider? You chose to call yourself the Spider?


Peter

Well what should I call myself?

Voice

I don’t know Venom is a good name.

Peter that’s a crap name

Voice

Maybe.

Peter suddenly feels the Symbiote tighten around his body almost as if its clinging on for dear life.


Peter

(Concerned)


Are you alright?

Voice

No don’t you feel it?


Peter

What?

A tendril points up to the heavens. Peter follows it


Voice

A storm is coming out of the darkness. Come on we need to prepare.

As Peter swings away a faint wind picks bringing with it the smell of smoke and high pitched insane laughter rings in to the night sky.


Dun Dun the plot thickens more coming tomorrow.

Peter Walks into a coffee shop and sighs with content as he sees Gwen sipping a mug of coffee i n her delicate hands.



Voice

( Dreamily)

Oh she is so beautiful.


Peter

She is.

Voice

your friend didn’t take it very well did he?


Peter

Harry?

Voice

Yeah


Peter


He couldn’t take the fact that I got the girl for once. Besides its not like I need him anymore I have you.

Peter

( Sounds like he might die of happiness)

Peter

( smirks)

( mumbles)

( Embarrassed)

Peter

Gwen goes red and mutters something about kindness

So how is Flash?


Gwen

(Face darkens )

he moved away to LA


Peter

( Evil chuckle)

Voice

Good its nice to see she believed that little note we sent her.


Gwen

So who do you live with ? If you don’t mind me asking?

Peter

My aunt. My parents died when I was two


Gwen

( distraught)t

oh im so sorry


Peter

Its ok im over it.

Peter pulls out the diamond necklace.

Peter

This is for you.


Gwen’s eyes practically fall out of her head at the sight of it

Gwen

Are you sure

Peter of course

Peter stands up to place it around her head. Gwen tries with all her effort to keep her eyes firmly rooted on his face. Not at the skin-tight shirt that struggles to contain his bulging muscles.


Gwen

Urm Peter would you like to help me with my Science essay tomorrow night?


Peter

Yeah ok.


Gwen

Around eight ?

Peter

Swell.


Gwen walks away smiling



Voice


She wants us

Peter

What do you mean us?

Voice

We are a team. Shall we go hunting


Peter

Yep

Scene 9

48 hours earlier

The Oscorp building stands tall and menacing. In a small dingy lab a hunched figure lays on the floor surrounded by dozens of syringes. He is gazing at huge suit gold and green in colours. A cloak of flowing purple stretches out behind it. Lying on the floor next to the figure is a huge bat like craft with silver wings. A grinning jack lantern has been attached to the front of it.


The figure is fingering a satchel filled with pumpkin shaped explosives. The figure holds a large green demonic helmet in his hand.



Figure

So little Parker I think it is time you got your hands dirty with a real enemy.



The figure starts to put the armour on

( Cackling evilly)

The Osborn legacy is dead long live to the legacy of the Goblin.


The figure leaps off the glider and flies cackling into the night.

Scene 10



Peter is sitting in Gwen’s bed


Gwen

Thanks Peter.

Peter

No problem.

Gwen do you think we could do this again?

Peter

Sure.

Gwen leans across to kiss his cheek

Voice

Turn your head

Peter turns his head and their lips meet. Gwen’s hand reach under Peters shirt and runs her hand and over his chest

Peter

(against her lips)

I love you.

Gwen

Really?


Peter

Yeah.


Gwen

since when?

Peter

(stops and thinks)


Since I first met you.


Peter looks at the open window

Peter

Wanna se a trick

Gwen

Ok



Peter takes her hand and uides her over to the window.

Peter

Now close your eyes baby.

Gwen does so Peter holds her hand and swings out through the sky line. Gwen clings to his torso.


Gwen

(screams)

Oh my God

Peter

don’t be scared ive got you.

After some time of swinging Peter drops Gwen back home


Gwen

That was amazing Peter

Peter

Glad you liked it.

Gwen

Do you want to come in?

Peter

You mean inside as in inside?

Gwen

Yeah if you want

Peter

I would really like to but I want it to be special.

Gwen

Ok Tiger

They kiss deeply and passionately Peter reluctantly pulls away and swings away.


In the darkness The Goblin watches and flies silently towards Peter moving into attack

The Goblin swoops down and attacks Peter. Dragging up to his level and punching him viciously


Goblin

( Manically)

Ohhhhhh look at you!



Peter

Who the hell are you?


Goblin

I am the Goblin.

The Goblin opens his satchel and pulls out a pumpkin bomb

Voice
( Terrified)

Get it away from me!

The bomb hits Peter squarely in chest hurling backwards.

Goblin

What’s wrong.

Peter
( Gets shakily to feet}

Nothing.


The Goblin swoops down with a great with a large scimitar and impales Peter through the chest. His eyes go wide and he slumps to the ground.

Goblin

There that should could keep you incapacitated for a while. Maybe I will go and see Gwen soon .

Cackling madly the Goblin soars away.

The Symbiote starts to pry the sword out

Voice

I think we should complete our little game before we come back for round two.

Peter.

What?

Voice
Its time for us to become one.

Peter
( confused)

What do you mean become one?

Voice

Well I mean bond permanently.

Peter pulls a worried face.

Voice

I will become your bloodstream, you can call me out whenever you need me.

Peter

Will I be stronger?

Voice

Yes.

Peter

Then what the hell are we waiting for?

Voice

Cut yourself

Peter grabs a shard of glass and plunges it into his arm.

The Symbiote detaches itself and surges upright growing in height. Its form altering between its monstrous Symbiote form and its human guise.

Voice/Symbiote

Now shall we begin?

Peter

God please.

The Symbiote plunges into the cut on his arm. Peter wails in esctacy

Peter

Oh yes!

After almost an hour the Symbiote becomes one with him a huge red hulking beast gets to its feet. A large black Spider emblem sands proud on his chest. Peters mobile suddenly rings.

(Changes back into regular form?)
