Every so often I find an uncolored lined pic on Deviant Art and have a go at coloring it

That is cool stuff! From my wife's art work, I think shading is the most difficult part. So props to you!
 
Thanks. Ya the shading is the most difficult part because you have to take into consideration all the different light sources and things, tho I think I have got faster at it as I have gone on.

Not that I am anywhere near as fast or as talented as the pros. I just do this for fun

to show my basic process here is a quick step by step from uncolored piece found on DA to my finished colors

(this was actually one of my first tries at coloring a comic page)
