I just got this email from the comic vault who rented out IMAX in Chicago on the 17th....

To All:
The Dark Knight premiere has been moved to this Sunday,July 13, 2008 at 7pm

Due to Warner Bros. intervention, the show needed to be moved. If you bought a ticket and can not attend you will receive a full refund. You must call to cancel to receive a refund. If you do not call by 8pm Thursday, July 10th I will assume you are attending the event and no refund will be issued.

The tickets are now available for pick up at the Comic Vault.

Again, Batman: The Dark Knight movie premiere is now on Sunday, July 13 at 7pm

I apologize for any inconvenience, and if you have any comments or concerns please do no hesitate to call.

a comic book store in Chicago rented out Navy Pier in Chicago a day before the premiere on July 17th. I just got the above email saying it has been pushed forward to this Sunday night.

I agree. I'll be down there taking pictures though! hopefully I can get some cool shots. As for the movie, no big deal, because I will have already seen it. :woot:

You lucky dog, you! Be sure to give us the "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" when you get back from the show. Most importantly, have fun! :woot:

You jammy ******!

Congrats though :)

God I cannot wait untill tuesday, its going to be so surreal yet amazing.
Make sure to post a spoiler-free review

DAMN, thats awesome! Have fun Chicago goers!

Is this for real? Why would the WB intervene? To open more spots for Thursday or something?

oh. my. god.

just awesome.

There is so much I want to say but I'll be as general as I can.

All of the performances were amazing. I have a much larger respect for Gary Oldman and Aaron Eckhart, they really nailed their roles. Maggie Gyllenhaal was an excellent upgrade from Katie Homes and Michael Cain and Morgan Freeman were as solid as ever.

And all I can say about Heath Ledger is believe the hype. His performance in this movie is now my single most favorite performance in any movie. Rest in peace Heath, you were taken way too early.

Also, if you are worried about it being too long, don't. The 2.5 hours flew by. The action scenes were so good, many of them got loud applause when they were over. The movie also got a roaring applause when it ended. As soon as it was over, I wanted to see it again. Now I have to wait a week!

As far as the scenes I filmed, you could not see my face, but I was definitely there. It was amazing to see the very scenes I filmed up on the big screen. I'll never forget that experience.

Glad you loved it and thanks for the heads up on your thoughts. :woot:

Cannot wait until Saturday (I have to fly to Houston to see it in IMAX since my local theater is just a normal one and I refuse to watch it first in any other format than IMAX). My weekend should be fun though. My dad recently got a new fishing boat so we are going fishing on Sunday. I have not been fishing in a long, long time.

cbotnyse,

Forgot to ask, but simple question for you: Better than Begins?

I have a question, do you think seeing all the tv spots, other clips, or pictures ruined anything at all?

I am a little worried I watched to many clips, I know there is ALOT I havent seen but I just have that feeling...

yes, and you can thank Heath Ledger for that.

There are some major scenes that were not in any trailers. I personally cut myself off from any clips about 2 weeks ago. You see some great scenes in the trailers, but when you see it as a whole, you almost forget you already saw some bits and pieces of them.
