yeah...i was about to say that it needed a Joker laugh...yes, the sound is very low...i think the teaser would probably be exactly like that... maybe in black & white...maybe with some flashes of clips in between the phrases of their conversation
for example:
Batman: "Escalation?"
(flash clip of shrieking people, dead bodies, death)
Gordon: "they buy automatics"
(thugs cocking automatic guns)
Gordon: "they buy armor-piercing rounds"
(villain insanely unloading on a number of cops that fall dead)
Gordon: "armed robbery, double homicide...."
(dead bodies, creepily grinning, bloody & pale)

I know there's no footage but I think this should be the teaser:

-Batman landing on a roof, with a cool move.
-Batman standing up with his cape moving in the wind behind him.
-He opens a window.
-Enters the building.
-We get a shot of a huge boiler room, with steam and other stuff real dark. We see atleast 8 bodies lying in the darkness. Some face down, some crinched and others face up. We just see their outlines.
-Batman jumps and lands on the floor (where all the bodies lie).
-The steam clears and there's a bit more lighting, we see a fast wideshot of all the dead bodies. Al the bodies have twisted and mutilated face, all with a big smile and white face. Some bodies are allready decomposing.
-The camera zooms in on one face, and we see the horror in the deadmans (or womans) eyes. The face disfigered etc...
-Then: The Dark Knight and a fade too black.

(Think the scene in "Alien" where they discover all the eggs inside the spaceship.)

Excellent job you guys. I agree that the escalation trailer would prolly use some inter-cutting when it's the actual trailer (cuz God knows the WB should realize by now that's what we want, that's what we need, and that's what'll work best) and Kaizer yours was very creative. Good job pulling sources from other films. Very nice gentleman.

As for ripping footage, I dled a program called Super DVD Ripper.
It sucks that you guys can't hear the Joker laugh...it was insanely hard to find a downloadable version on the internet.

I like the inclusion of the scene of Ledger in BBM.

Like the Joker with his wife. Which means it would show Joker's origins to an extent.
