Thank you. She was an amazing dog, and I really miss her. I'd give up anything to have her back.

I can't help thinking that I wasn't there for her in the end, when she was always there for me. I haven't been home much this past few months because I recently started working in a Special Ed daycare, which is a really demanding job. When I was home, I was so exhuasted I didn't pay her enough attention. I feel like I let her down.

I'm sorry for your loss. I have a 5 year old Golden and I always get upset when I think of him dying.

You should be happy that she was able to die in her sleep at home in her bed. I could never bear taking my dog to the vet to be put down.
