My Dog Died :(

I am so so sorry. My heart goes out to you and your family. :(

You have my condolences, man. I've lost three dogs in my lifetime-- one from food poisoning, another from old age, and the last had to be euthanized.

:( I'm very sorry for your loss. He looked like a wonderful companion. *hugs*

It wasn't the injections, this started long before the injections.
Besides he already had those injections about 1 year ago and he was fine.

What type of injections were administered? Do you have any idea where they were given as well?

His having these injections last year suggests that they were vaccines, which are sometimes a toss-up when it comes to adverse reactions, also him not having any issues with them previously doesn't necessarily mean that he wouldn't have a reaction this time.

Anyway, I wouldn't believe that this was an allergic reaction to an injection for a few reasons. Firstly, the doctors had to have seen allergic reactions before, so there's no reason for them to act like they hadn't. Second, dogs tend to show their allergies in their skin, not with the symptoms the original post mentioned.

I'd still like to know what drugs were given.

That's awful. :(

I feel for you. It's always hard when a pet dies.

This kind of reminds me of what happened to Marley in Marley and Me, the dog's stomach flipped or something? It's kind of a spontaneous thing I guess, happens if a dog is really active right after eating a lot. I don't know, I'm not an expert at all I'm just throwing it out there.

Anyways sorry for your loss, I don't have any pets now but I have had pet dogs and cats die before and I was very attached to them. It's really too bad, that looked like a great dog.

You're talking about Gastric dilatation and volvulus syndrome, or GDV, which is commonly called bloat. However, the stomach torsion caused by GDV would prevent the vomiting that Firm mentioned in his original post.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's really tough. I'm going through what you're going through.

I lost my dog this morning around 5am. I had him for 12 years. I loved that lil guy. I'm just really torn up about it. I can't picture him not being here.
