CardinalRed and "Kelvin" first meet

"I want you to troll me as hard as you can…."

What if Kelvin is actually part of the female supremacy guild and is trying to trick poor autistic people into allowing him into their homes.

If I offered someone a place to stay and they suddenly gave me a list of demands, I'd tell them to go **** themselves.

The Kelvin post was a classic, but it gave up the game. Too obvious. I mean FioS? really? :woot:

He's not even a close friend. I'd say no - I know he's going through hard times but it sounds like he'll bring some of that drama into your own life as well. I hate to say that. The reality is that you should try to do good, but there's always a limit even to that.

If the situation is really bad, contact the authorities and tell them what's going on with your friend...

This is the best I can do for him right now, offer him a place to stay. I did get another text from him saying he'll think it over, he's currently looking into seeing if he can place a tarniff on Comicvine posts as a means to make money? I don't fully understand what he means by that, I sent him a follow up text asking for more details.

Holy f*** this thread is insane. Dude, you don't let random strangers you meet on the internet into your house man. That's internet 101. The fact that you are even entertaining the idea makes me question your sanity. I'm bi-polar, shizophrenic and alcoholic. I've been homeless. Sometimes you gotta go through some s*** before you get your crap together. And let me reiterate once again DO NOT HOUSE A RANDOM STRANGER FROM THE INTERNET! I really can't stress that enough, I don't care how many times you have Skyped with him.

Yes, please call the police and tell them that your friend is being attacked by anti-autism feminists with Viacom that flash green lights.

Get out of the thread you evil female supremacist. Your species is not wanted here. :cmad:

I think after 5 years of communication with this guy I'd know him well enough to know that I want him living with me until he finds his own home. If there situation should ever arise, I can rely on parents so I can point towards our guest room or our extra bathroom and say to them that my friend's in there. You act like Kelvin is some deranged maniac-nothing could be further from the truth. Kelvin was a relatively normal high functioning so-and-so with autism until the past 2 weeks where circumstances beyond his control took him out of his comfort zone and forced him to behave in this erratic manner. I too have flipped out when my parents made likeminded suggestions unto me.

Can you give us or your parents proof of your claims?

You're not offering him a place to stay. You're offering to burden your parents with this 26 year old unemployed (and slightly crazy) dude, without even asking them. Stop making this out to be like you're some altruistic good samaritan. You're another man-child living off his parents in his 20's, and not only that, but you're taking advantage of them and forcing this situation upon their household.

I did get another text from him saying he'll think it over,

He'll "think it over." Wow… he sure seems to be in dire straits. :o

I did tell him that, while my parents are fairly lenient (as opposed to his family members) he would live under theirs and my rules. I'm not going to let anyone (Kelvin or anyone else for that matter) come into our home and start barking orders. He's will not be a king in our castle, but a guest of honor. Yes, we do have a few rules and where I'm happy to help where I can, but there will have to be some compromise.

Although I find Kelvin (and his enabler CardinalRed) insufferable on a personal level, this thread is indeed entertaining the hell out of me.

I thought this was a brilliant trolling, but the fact this Kelvin has a Comicvine profile and everything means we've actually plumbed the depths of the internet. I knew we'd hit the bottom sooner or later. :o
