my ps2 broke?!?!?! :(

ok so was playing marvel ultimate alliance and all of a sudden the ps2 acted weird. like the music was playing on the game but the voices were gone then i went to pause it and it froze...so i reboot it then it makes a lot more weird noises and then the disk doesnt read so i tried 2 other games and dvs and they didnt read either...my ps2 makes clicky noises like its trying to play/read then then it stops....gahhh this isnt kewl....i dont wants a broken ps2.....any 1 have any ideas on what 2 do??? i did get it from a game stop referbished over a yr ago as a present....think they would fix it for me? and if it helps its a ps2 slim.

I dunno. I've had my Playstation 2 since 2001 and it's worked perfectly. No problems at all.

If they don't fix it, don't sweat, the sixth generation is over anyways. Get a Wii, Xbox 360, or Playstation 3.

Get a ps3, that way you can still play all your ps2 games.

im not gonna get a ps3 until a yr after it comes out, 360 sucks and i am getting a wii but thats not gonna help me with y ps2 problem....i just played marvel ultimate aliance again. since nothing saved so i started over again. this time i got a bit farther, the ps2 was working ok and when i went to go save it started makeing the clicky noise again. and then all sorts of errors poped up when i tried to save it...i even switched memory cards and nothing worked...then the voices and sound effects went away and when i tried so save again it froze...........could this be a glitch in the game thats messing up the ps2?

hmm it seems 2 people so far are having this problem, ill do some looking around on forums and see if this happens to anyone else, cuz than it may be the game.

2day after school im gonna go back to work(i work at block buster) and switch out my disk with another. a coworker said he had the same problem with another game and it ened up that the disk was defective.so i hope its the disk now and not my ps2...cuz this is my 2nd ps2 also......could there be a whole bunch of defeftive MUA games out there?

ok so another update. so i got the disks swicthed...i got to the first save point and even changed my team a bit. everything saved ok. what i 4got to mention lasttime what that i used codes when i first tried the game the other night. i didnt 2night with the new disk...so now after knowing that the disk i had was a bad one im gonna see if possibly the codes could of messed things up also. i havent used any yet but i will in the morning..
