I remember fighting those lizard henchmen that kind of looked like raptors. That must've sucked for the game designers. Coming up with an origin to fit him in the story, designing him, then Sony tells them "You can't use that character".

To be honest I'd rather just have Bruce Cambell appear just as Quentin Beck than Mysterio. I want Mysterio to have his own movie against Spidey. I rather have The Lizard than Mysterio as a cameo villain, or appearing at the end of the movie.

I mean it'd be cool if Mysterio was in movie "5" and having Spidey square off against him yet he can't tell if he's in some sort of hallucination or dreamscape, or if he is actual in the "real world."

You want Mysterio to have his own movie? Would that even be a good movie? I say leave Mysterio out of the Spidey movie franchise.

I voted for Carnage. It would make more sense to me to have him in the movie, since Venom is in it.

I really don't think Mysterio would be a bad villain. Imagine the range in special effects for him. Sure he could probably be easily defeated once apprehended, but I think the movie could focus around Spidey not being able to figure out just what is going on/who he is. Since they'd want to couple that with a romantic theme it could mirror the confusions of his relationship with MJ or whoever they pair him with.

Also, why would they recast Campbell to play him - after have played the jerk doorman at MJ's theatre in '2'? Or is it possible that the doorman would be tied in with Beck? I wouldn't think, as that would stray too far away from his comic origin.

I'm aware that Mysterio is mentioned in the script review - but how legit is that?

I realize there is a 4th villain thread - but this is more to talk about the rumored actor/conenctions with the last movie/etc...

Because Beck is in the whole film/theater buisness remember?...Thats why he was an anouncer in SM1, the user in SM2, and maybe hell be a striving for some other position...I think thats a genius idea anyhow.

I hate mystery movies, especially if its a superhero movie. I expect a superhero film to be action-packed with a good story. Mysterio doesn't offer that.

Its all in the writing. There is always a good story to tell or incorporate it into an existing story.Mysterio would be vastly different on the big screen even if its just a cameo.
