I was a little surprised they just kind of skimmed over the whole Dre & Eazy feud. We just saw the tip of the iceberg regarding the Ruthless DeathRow squabble. The movie kind of went into fast forward in the 3rd act. Still, a great movie.

That aspect kinda took away from the whole "reconciliation" scene with Eazy and the hospital with Dre.

Yeah, in the scene when Eazy was driving around in L.A. and saw The Chronic billboard, I thought, "Wait, isn't F**k Wit Dre Day on that album?" and I was waiting for it to come up but never did.

I hope the director's cut is actually significant. I know the first cut was over 3 hours, but that doesn't mean anything. The Town had a 4 hour cut.

I'll be really surprised if they release a significant director's cut the first release. I imagine the first home release might have 5 new scenes totaling up to 10 extra mins if we're lucky. 2nd release maybe the previous new scenes and like 3 extra ones. I don't think it'll be until like release 3 until we get a really good director's cut.

Yeah, true. I don't need a scene in your face that Eazy feels betrayed with the diss track with him listening to it in the car there. But if I remember correctly, he was kind of smiling in that scene, right? Yeah he was smiling. Kinda like "Look at my boy doing this thing"

I think they should/should've included the Eazy/Dre beef though. Especially since F*** With Dre Day had them clowning Eazy and Jerry so hard with those actors. IM sure that is something that is on the cutting room floor. Whether they release it or not, Im not sure.

Like it or not, the Dee Barnes incident is a famous part of Dre's life. And to not include it feels, wrong. And I find Gray's justifications, unconvincing at best and disingenuous at worst.

He went to Julliard? A shame he couldn't manage to shed a few actual tears in the scene where he finds out his brother has died, then. He looked like Charlie Sheen trying to cry on camera there.

Im watching some interviews on DJ Vlad with Yella.

I didnt know this but he just stopped making music after Eazy died. He said "the music just left me" I just thought he kinda fell off not that he just up and stopped.

Funnily though he went into the adult film business which seems pretty in line with how he is ha ha. I wouldve loved to see that in the movie

This movie was damn good. Excellent acting from the main cast. Everyone is right about O'shea Jr., he was perfect.

The real convincing part for me was when he hears NWA's track where it mentions him, and he makes that face right before No Vaseline kicks in as far as the look and mannerisms go.

Saw it today. Thought it was great.

The coolest part of the experience was hearing a very audible gasp from the audience at the 2Pac scene. Even I was in shock at the uncanny resemblance. In certain angles he could legitimately pass off as Pac.

Incredible casting choice.
