N.W.A. Straight Outta Compton

He can't be killed. It's kinda eerie. What ****er takes that many bullets without dying?

Well, here it is, folks! The official Red Band trailer of Straight Outta Compton!

NOTE: Since this has explicit content, I'll just post the link. I don't wanna get in trouble or get banned.

Looks great.

Have a feeling I wont like Ice Cube's son though

Looks great. Still interested to see how much will be left out.

Jabar still posting that link would get you in trouble as it is no different than if you embedded it in the post itself best remove it before you get infracted.

Definitely will be going to see this!!!! Looks really good and Cube's son is perfect casting.

Yeah, casting Cube's son was genius in that regard.

This is getting a lot of positive buzz off the trailer

Hope it's better than Notorious

I think it looks well shot. Almost like a music video.
I find myself missing the more stripped down approach to photography ala Boys in the hood when it comes to south central but this seems to be working for a lot of people. Looks very appealing.
Hopefully the movie delivers.

The trailer looks great (aside from Cube's son's acting). I thought this would be trash when it was announced, but I'll be giving it a chance now.

I hadn't even heard of this until yesterday, but that trailer already made this one of my most anticipated movies.

I usually hate Rap films, but I'm all in on this.

Damn right you are, *****.

looking forward to this

didn't really expect much to be honest when this film was first announced, but the trailer won me over

Good trailer, I liked the one Cube showed during his concert more though (the editing was much more fluid). However, this trailer gave a much more political/social context to the film - which is a good thing. I hope they take a very realistic approach to this thing, I'm iffy about the director, but maybe he'll surprise me. They're on the right track. With proper direction, this can be a really special and important film. As Cube mentioned in the introduction, NWA's subject matter remains very relevant to today's generation.

Small thing but they shouldve included the rest of the alive NWA members in the intro. I know their not as prominent and well known as Cube and Dre plus Cube and Dre are the producers. But still.

Yella was in it for a hot second, but yeah. It's looking like he and Ren might be getting the short end of the stick in this movie. Other members will probably be left out all together. I know it's a highly fictionalized movie and not a documentary but still...

There were other members besides the original five?

I kind of agree. Or a cinema verite, City of God type approach where it's almost like watching a documentary. Also, the look of the movie is a bit off. Aside from the hairstyles, it's hard to tell this is supposed to be set during the late 80's/early 90's. It seems like they want to set up N.W.A as having their look down from the start. Ice Cube, for example, is seen in his trademark ball cap (even though all black Dodgers caps weren't available at the time), but this is what Ice Cube and the rest of N.W.A looked like before they started out:

I'm also guessing Arabian Prince has been written out of the movie.

Damn, I don't think I've ever seen these pictures before.
