To all those who have fallen, served or are still serving, I thank you.

I thank you for doing a job that not everybody can do.

I thank you for protecting your fellow American honorably.

I thank you for leaving everything you know and love behind to go to far away lands to do your job. For signing that dotted line, knowing you might have to risk you lives for our country in your future. For being strong... for us.

You will never be forgotten.

Umm... I think Frank Dux is a veteran. I'm not 100% sure.

i come from a long line of Veterans: my father, 2 uncles (one of whom is still listed as "MIA" in Vietnam) both grandfathers and great grandfathers, and have several friends over in Iraq right now. My brother is currently trying to get into the Air Force.

Thanks to all who have or currently are serving!

Also remember that the military employs over 3,000 animals. Most of them dogs. They are also veterans, and they're usually very cute and friendly!

I'm a Veteran myself fighting in multiple Battles:

Battle of Yavin
Battle of Hoth
Battle of Endor
Battle of the Citadel

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

I didn't know you guys in the states had veterans day the same day as Britain. I'm actually in the middle of a debate because there was some protest during the moment of silence and one of my contacts on facebook wrote a pretty harsh comment about it.
Now this offended somebody but she's choosing to go on a rant how we need to think about those being killed in Iraq and that they were right to break the silence. I disagree of course and feel they could've aired their thoughts at a more appropriate time.

But back to topic I would also like to add my appreciation for all the troops that have sacrificed themselves to protect our counties and for those that are out there right now.

Thanks to all veterans; both lurking, posting and those who have passed on.

Much respect.
