Ive been watching the show since it came to cartoon network. I hate the super hyper active main character[ who looks like supersaiyan goku:whatever: ]. I hate the whole ninja school crap, and i hate haveing cartoon network force it down my throat in thier marthons of the show. I mean how can anybody be that postive and hyperactive like Naruto? I hate that kid, i want him to lose so badly.

BELIEVE IT!:whatever:

So CN broke into your house and stole your tv remote :cwink: :whatever: :oldrazz:

I mean seriously. Noone is forcing you to watch it.

As for me, I like the show. I only tune in on the CN aired dub version to check out the english VO & how their translation differ from what was done by fansub groups.

I must agree with Eros - Naruto is annoying. He was poorly concieved as well (by that I mean his clothes are ****).

However, the same does not apply to all the characters.

And yes, you can change the channel (I prefer History and Sci Fi myself).

Not in the manga, the filler stuff is what makes Naruto boriing, seriously, sometimes he's full of confidence and indipendence, the next he's a shallow ****tard.

But that don't happends in the manga, where they actually make him interesting.

I'll jump to the bandwagon... Naruto is perhaps one of the best "new" Shounen Anime/Manga (cartoon/comic for boys) around, but it is annoying what they have made of him in the American version, although, the japanese is also annoying. But Naruto has a lot of good points and if you are fan of the comic form you should read Naruto. It is better if you read the manga

One of the few things that keeps me latched onto the Naruto franchise is the--dare I say it--'adorable' performances Maile Flanagan gives as Naruto. Her performances are quite strong during Naruto's moaning and groaning, like when in episode 4 (or was it five?) when Naruto is hanging upside down, priceless, I say.

P.S. Funny how some people trust fansubs over professional translations.

Why is it funny?

Was that a shot at me ? :cmad::cwink:

Naw, seriously ... explain yourself.

Because I didn't say anything about how the fansub group was better translators than Viz. I'm just comparing what each put out.

The only difference between fansubs and professional sub is that the professionals makes money on it, it doesnt nessecerly mean that they're better. - But the only thing that's canon is what's in the manga.

you're watching the wrong naruto buddy.

the AMERICAN version sucks , but the japanease naruto is awesome.

JAPANEASE NARUTO FTW !!!!!!!!!

I still love the 2nd Japanese opening the best. US anime openings always uses clips from the show looking like a bad AMV =/

What? You don't remember the days of Anime Labs? :cwink:

One of the many complaints I hear about the JPN cast of naruto is how most of the kids sound far too old, and from what I can remember of Sakura's JPN actress, I must agree.

Never, watch he american dub version. The voice acting is horrible and the fact that they gave him an annoying catchphrase to appeal to kids (a catch phrase that didn't exist in the comics) just makes it worse.
I'd reccomend reading the comics or watching the japanese version(where you can't tell he's saying "Believe it" every five seconds) and where the fandubbers don't translate it into the subtitles.

Does that mean that people who like the crappy dubbed american version mega-suck?:oldrazz:

I just watched Sasuke fight Gaara in English and it was pretty funny. I really found all of the voices funny except Kakashi's that's kind of how i pictured how he would speak in English and some what for Shikamaru's but it was still a decent show.:o

I forgot that Shikamaru's voice actor is also the voice of Kadaj from FFVII:AC
FLCL's one of the best dubs I've heard, but I still listen to the Japanese version every time.

IMHO it's kind of overrated.

The thing I hate about Naruto (now I haven't read Part Two) is the show is hardly about NARUTO it's about Sasuke(whom I despise) most of the time.

...I jumped off the Naruto bandwagon for now....I might check out Naruto:Hurricane Chronicles when it is fansubbed.

Kritish-stop trolling and stay out if you don't like anime

Honestly, SHH is a small society and does not fully represent the Animé society. Naruto’s dub is beloved by many people who are well-aware of its Japanese version. The elitist and snobbish attitude many here have towards the English adaptation which remains so very close to the original is quite insulting for those which enjoy watching the faithful adaptation in their own language. I am well aware of the hard work the JPN actors put into their recordings, I respect them, but I and many others have simply little to no need for them.

As for the voices, while they are not carbon-copies of the Japanese cast, they are voices that are faithful to the character themselves, Naruto sounds like the hyper-active annoying twelve-year old he is, Sakura sounds like a intellectual and bright (but boy crazy when essential) twelve-year old, Kakashi the quite, aloof (or so he appears!) man he is.

Y’all need to stop being so immature about the dub and your instant ‘Oh poop, it ain’t in Japanese! It’s evil!’ attitude. Remember, you’ve all been listening to the JPN cast for two hundred plus episodes.

EDIT: Kadaj of Advent Children is played by Neji Hyūga's actor (Steve Staley) not Tom Gibbis (Shikamaru).

EDIT 2:

Agreed, Sasuke receives far too much spotlight for my tastes.

No, its not the fact that its not Japanese that makes it terrible. Its the horrible choices for voice actors, the voice acting, and stupid catch phrase that makes it horrible. Just like One Piece's retched voice acting. If the dubbing is bad then I'll either watch the japanese version or read it.
However, I will watch the english version if the dubbing is good though.
Inuyasha, DBZ, FMA, Gantz, Case Closed, Bleach, ect are all good examples.

and whats so bad about the one piece dub? except for shanks being scared by a cork gun.:oldrazz:

How often is 'Believe it' used anymore, Not very often unlike Dattebayo. It was revealed (I believe it was at a con) that the crew agreed to cut back on the usage 'Believe It!'.

Do you even watch each episode? It’s common knowledge that over the course of a TV series actors improve as they become more comfortable with their roles. Just look at how the actors have improved from the earlier episodes compared to now!

If you’ve any complaints, might I suggest you take them up with Maile Flannagan (maileflannagan.com) and Kyle Hebert (kylehebert.com), the voices of Naruto and Kiba respectively?

Sanjis voice
Luffys voice
....everyones voice!!!!
Honestly, I don't watch the japanese version either. I just read the manga. They made their voices too silly on there.
