It's not a double standard. A double standard would mean that they are on the same level.
Alba isn't on the same level with Portman as an actress. Look at each of their resume's.

Portman as an actress is good enough that she can be a realistic stripper (and yes hooker) with out doing nudity.

Alba's character isn't deep enough where deep acting is required. The only thing that can make such a shallow character realistic is high sexuallity and in this case nudity.

I think that no actress should do nudity unless she wants to. But you seem to be bent on the fact that a Portman as a hooker role requires nudity.

Not everyone cared about Jessica being nude in SC,only some hardcore comic fans and lets face it they need something with every adaption to moan about

Here's the difference,in the SC books the character is drawn naked,in the film RR made it panel for panel like the books except for Jessica's scene's which he altered.thus why some were annoyed

Nathalie's character is a hooker in this,she may shoot a sex scene which shows what a hooker is,you can do that without her being nude so it isn't a double standard

As for Closer it was a film about characters so the nudity wasnt needed,SC was a brash gaudy gratuitous type of book and thus the movie depicted it as so only minus Jess' boobies for reasons that seem to be RR's

Yes and im fine with it not being in there but it has no bearing on Portman not being nude in this film,the reason many expected it in SC is b/c every other panel from the book was recreated exactly

To be blunt the reason they judge Nathalie different to Jessica is that they respect her as her roles have earned that

Like you said, why film it and then change her mind. The director has come out and said that he took the scenes out himself and Natalie had nothing to do with it. Wow, JAL, this is pretty pathetic.
