Am I alone in thinking that Season 3, only 2 episodes in, already feels of a higher quality than the first two seasons?

Sometimes the Tom/Liz interactions were the weaker area of the show but I did like Berlin finally coming into the actual action AND the Cabal members Red would meet and be doing the dance of death with.

I'm really enjoying Red having a lot to do, seeing him actively on the run is a lot of fun. I also like how out of her depth Liz is, it's nice to see the hero of the story freaking out rather than handling like a bad ass 100% of the time.

This feels like it is going to be a really good season. The previous two were good but this one is going to eclipse them.

Didn't particularly enjoy this latest episode, I am however looking forward to seeing Tom and Harold work together (that seems to have the making for a spin off show)

Loved last nights episode, I cant say I was too surprised about Vargas turning on Dembe, even last weeks episode when they dragged Vargas into the room where Dembe was I thought something was off about him.

That montage of Tom getting into character was excellent.

I really loved that scene, really gave you an idea of how Jacob Phelps became Tom Keen

Me either. I would have been more surprised if it had been played straight and there was no twist that Vargas was a plant.

The Djinn story was pretty good, I certainly didn't see the penis choppery twist coming. :wow: It was nice to see Harvey Spector's shrink getting more work and I loved Red's big grin when they escaped in the chopper. :D

Poor Lizzie is going through the ringer but I did like that Aram hasn't lost faith! :) Tom's prep for going undercover was great, he's out there without a safety net now, Liz has definitely proved to be both his and Red's weak spot when it comes to going against all of their survival instincts.

Am I the only one who loves it whenever Red monologued about some past event or life experience. My favorite was when he was telling Liz how he was saved by a sea gypsy in Kori.

aah I knew I seen her recently, but couldn't quite put my finger on it.

I feel like that's a James Spader thing. He used to do it back in Boston Legal as well. Spader has a way of describing things with such passion, he could talk about a ham sandwich and I'd listen to it.

Yes,he definitely had an ''Alan Shore'' moment in the latest episode.

Good episode this week, Red wasn't taking any prisoners, Ressler nailed his flag to the mast of Team Liz, Tom's undercover mission escalated quickly and Dembe saved the day like a boss! :D

I'm particularly pleased at how they have written Ressler this season, it's not that he's a favourite of mine or anything but while he's always been one for the rules he has also never been a government drone and has always had his honor, I was worried he'd become the stock illogical FBI stooge chasing the framed hero, but he's remained true to the character he's always been.

I'm also digging Aram's role even more this season, it's expanded nicely.

One thing I thought was a huge waste though was the Wendigo. Red set him up as this mysterious assassin that was better than even him and had never even been seen. Within ten minutes Red & Liz had found him and killed him, and he just came off as regular Joe nobody. Shame as the concept of a deadly vigilante stalking Liz was something I felt they could have mined across a few eps.

Mr. Solomon is certainly a formidable villain but I was surprised when he questioned the Red and Liz relationship, at no pont during the show has it ever been hinted at that Red saw her as anything other than a daughter figure. Interesting that came in the same ep as Liz hugged Red after she escaped the Wendigo, it was unusual for her to be that needing of him emotionally, thankfully it came off completely as a father/daughter style moment.

I agree, thought Wendigo would have been more important instead of just a brief means to an end to tie into the larger conspiracy trying to take out Liz and Red.

Glad to see Dembe finally back with Red and getting some much needed medical treatment.

Although I do see why some people might see the Liz/Red relationship as something more than father/daughter I never thought of it that way myself. It was always to me that his interest in her was always like a niece or daughter.

I think Solomon was trying to get under Red's skin. He did say that he thought they were father and daughter as well as lovers. Mr. Solomon is a psycho

I guess that's probably true, I think it would be a huge mistake for the show to in that direction.

Did Solomon out-and-out say they were lovers, or was it just heavily implied? When I watched the episode I didn't get any kind of impression he was suggesting Red and Liz had a romance, it didn't even seem like a possibility until I came into this thread. My impression during that scene was Solomon asked if they were father/daughter, or their relationship was based on some sort of beneficial partnership, like Liz knowing secrets or Red knowing secrets Liz needed, Red needing Liz close to him for some advantage, something along those lines.

Overall I can honestly say I think this was one of the best episodes Blacklist has had so far, in all three seasons. Loved seeing Dembe's action packed return, though I was surprised Red didn't give PeeWee a more terrible death given his betrayal. I'm starting to enjoy Tom's presence in the show too lately, which is something I never expected.

I totally thought he was implying they were lovers to get under Red's skin.

Loved last nights episode, bad ass Tom is the best Tom, Jack Bauer would be proud

At this point, I would be heartbroken if Tom dies. He deserves a happy ending with Liz.

Agreed, very good ep. From Tom entering underground fighting to get to karakurt and his badass Bauer moments, putting more red in his ledger even though he tried everything to avoid killing Asher, to the flying cryogenic fridge idea to Red's kinda sweet way of getting the building inspector on his side lol.
