This last episode was probably my favorite one so far. I loved how much of a badass Tom turned out to be. And Red sending Ressler that guy's head in a box was great. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I hope Tom doesn't get killed off at the end of the season. I get that they're gradually moving to a Liz/Ressler relationship, but I think it would be more interesting (for a while at least) if we get to see more of Tom hiding his double life from Liz for a while. And then after she finds out, perhaps we'll learn that he really does love her and is trying to help her.

Shame to see Rachel Brosnahan and Lance Reddick die though.

Ive noticed Ryan Eggold (Tom) is in some new usual crappy Tyler Perry film,so I'm thinking unless he wants to focus more on a film career, I just don't think they gonna kill him off soon.

I think exploring him and Liz with all the cards on the table could be interesting, especially if he is going against the people he works for.

So Liz will see the obituary in the paper and find out that "Jolene" is dead?

I can see that Tom would be saying that he can't believe it, and will ask how she died. Ironically, he'll probably say he can't believe Jolene isn't even her real name, that he worked alongside her and that you think you know someone but never really know what they're hiding or what kind of a double life they're leading.

Perhaps I’m mistaken. But… isn’t that newspaper obit from an earlier episode where “Lucy” faked her death? In any case, the date of death is June and the events of “Mako Tanida” clearly occur in winter.

True it was, Im wondering if she faked her death as soon as Red showed up and started helping the FBI.

That is a good point. She couldn't have died in June for real. And they still would have to find her body first before they posted an obit. It's currently buried under snow in the woods and would be clearly a murder victim which would change the tone of the obiturary.

Liz & Red connection ?

Point #2: Tom states Red and Liz’s paths have crossed at key moments in the past 20 years, and that Red funneled money to Sam. We suspected that Red has known Liz for some time and now we have confirmation.

What I can’t help but wonder — If Red and Liz’s path crossed at Quantico, does that mean that Red got Liz the profiler position knowing he was about to put his game in play? Did Red enter her life 4 months ago because he knew Berlin had made contact with Tom, and that Liz’s life was in danger? Is this why Red sent Zamani - to stop Tom from doing something to Liz? Did Red know Tom would have to go dark after Zamani’s attack; knowing Tom would suspect he was being watched by Red or someone else? And, what about the Baltimore path? Did the fire actually occur when Liz was 14 in Baltimore as Liz stated in The Pilot?

Didn't we see Liz having flashback memories of the fire incident? If of course we can trust that, then it means that was when she got that scare on her wrist.

I remembered he was blindfolded but wasn't sure when it was removed. took a quick look at the episode when he was taken there. blindfold is removed after he is driven there. he memorized it. the top half is spot on to what we saw him experienced. the bottom is a guesstimate from what he was able to see when he was in the "main room" and picked out Red's right hand man.

Tom removing his glasses to "get his hands dirty" was ultra cheesy and I knew he would do that. LOL

I do wiah they'd cast a different (better) actor to play Tom. I'm not a fan.

Thanks at first I originally suspected that the girl in the photo might have been Jolene, but I don't think that's the case anymore. I think Jolene's past was tied to the Alchemist.

Makes sense. He would be the type someone who was an operative of a clandestine group would use to fake a death I suppose.

Perhaps the Blacklist gambit is Red's way of making his way up the chain to whomever was involved in his family's destruction?

I cant help but think that Liz's biological father (a criminal) was somehow involved in it.

I also thought the hippo toy mistake was poor writing, it made Tom look like a complete idiot and also took away the chance to showcase Liz's intelligence as a profiler by having her work it out with her brain and instincts rather than pure luck.

pretty much how I feel, I ended skipping to just the Tom/Liz/Red scenes just to see what happens there.

also Ive noticed that over the last 3 episodes there has been very little of James Spader

The hippo thing doesnt make him look like an idiot when you consider he was caught off guard and had to sweep that whole floor for evidence and burn it in less than a minute and hide himself. He isnt Bourne or some superspy. A slip-up like that is actually the most believeable thing about that whole scenario.
