Need help manually editing film

Quick question, hopefully someone here will know.

When manually editing film, cutting it and then taping it back together where exactly do you tape it:

1. Both sides
2. Shiny side
3. Non-shiny side

Hopefully someone here will know the answer, first time manually editing.

Any help you can provide would be great. t:

Ummmmm Film is joined with Film Cement via a Film splicer or Film Joiner
