so, i downloaded a big video file. but it's in MP4 form. and for some reason my WMP(i have WMP 11) doesn't play mp4s. what should i do inorder to see the video? i also tried converting the MP4 to AVI but that didn't work.
btw, the file for the MP4 looks kinda weird becuase it doesn't end in .mp4.
it's something like this: JPOV.mp4.002
is that a legit file name?

I think your suppose to use quicktime for that.

i just tried. that didn't work either.

Maybe you don't have the right codecs.

try installing the K-lite codec pack, as well as the CCC pack.

You can also try VLC. VLC is a media player that comes with built in codecs and is notorious for being able to play anything.

I didn't notice you mentioning that it ended in mp4.002. It's most likely a video file that has been split into multiple parts using a program called HJ Split. You've got part 2. You need to download all the other parts of the file and then re-join them using JHJ Split.

VLC and Media Player Classic are my favorites

Problem I have with MP4 and VLC is that I keep getting random crashes. I'd use Zoom Player, but I can't change the audio that I, uh, have, from Russian to English. I mean, you can tell it's supposed to be Raphael, but you have no clue what he's saying.

That's odd. Do you have a stable released version? If Zoom Player can't choose from multiple audio streams, try Windows Media Player Classic or GOM Player.

Yeah, I have a stable version. I'm actually using VLC right now, which I don't mind, aside from the weird error.

EDIT--I can now get them to switch to english, but I have to redo it every episode. Damn it.

You are a genius, my friend! :applaud:
that's exactly what the solution was! it was a huge file split in 2, and it joined the 2 of them into one big 231MB file.
wow, just when i was on the verge of giving up and deciding to delete those 2 big files, destiny finds itself in the funniest places. and i would've felt bad if i had to delete them, because they took forever to download. but i'm glad i didn't.
again, thank you. i am forever grateful.

and yeah, it's porn. :clown:
