I chose Maybe, if it has a good story but truthfully I don't see how it would benefit from a sequel. My gf and I were talking about this after we saw the film and just think it would be a waste.

Either the aliens come back to rescue the others and help Wikus or they come back and wage war. Personally I think how the film ended was perfect and should be left open. I just found it to be touching and different that the main character that was originally having a bit of fun it looked like, evicting the aliens, aborting their children and setting their huts on fire ended up literally walking in their shoes and came to understand their plight by the end. That last scene showing him

making the flower for his wife was a great way to end it.

Id like to see Peter Jackson and Bloomkamp move on to some other projects in the next 3-4 years. Maybe after that a sequel.

I want a sequel. I really want to see the story continue and have Christopher come back to fix the main character and then there is the love story of his wife waiting for him. There is so much story to tell in a sequel with double the alien population, Christopher's return etc.

If Christopher did return with their technology wouldnt they just wipe the entire human race? Especially after seeing what they were doing to his people.

Wow. I can't believe we might actually get a sequel. Movies like this usually don't have a sequel I think. They're just stand alone films.

I want them to go into the back story of the Aliens. Why were they traveling through space with a million of them? Were they originaly traveling to another Planet inhabited by another intelligent Species? What Solar System do they live in. Do they Even live in the same universe?

These are things I want to know the answer to.

Of course.

Some movies are best left open ended, and would be tarnished via sequels. This one, I don't think so. They obviously set it up, and it's not so compelling an idea that leaving it to our imagination is all that interesting an idea.

I don't think Christopher's son will be grown in three years. Unless they grow super fast.

Maybe. If it's Empire Strikes Back quality, then sure. But otherwise the film is best left open to interpretation.

I 'unno. If Christopher came back with the help that he's promising, they'd probably just demolish MNU, Johannsburg, Nigeria, and pretty much any other military force who came against them.

All with super sparkly death robot suits.
