Nice pic. Wonder what time the trailer will be up tomorrow? As much as I wanna see new footage, I hope they don't give away too much.

Same here. This & 'Gravity" dropping in October are the two films that I CAN`T WAIT to see. And from the reaction of the 10min trailer showcased to the select few, this film should be spectacular:yay:.

This and Man of Steel are the only 2 films I want to see this year.

Yeah those 2 films are my most anticipated as well. Finally seeing Man of Steel tonite and hopefully it will have the new Elysium trailer. I love scifi and especially original work. I know it's only based on 1 film but Blomkamp might be my favorite filmmaker. Hurry up 4pm PAC / 7 pm east !

First trailer didn't do much for me, hopefully this next one will change that.

Yeah looks like they could base a game on this. But it would probably suck like most movie games.

This looks so awesome. The robots look so real even though they are cg. Just like the prawns in D9. Loving all the tech and weaponry.

Like i said earlier, its going to be the best movie of the summer..looks amazing

Just saw the trailer, I'm gonna stick my neck out and say this is going to be a sci fi classic that joins the elite.

My god, this looks amazing.

Seeing those scenes of the space shuttles traveling through space makes want to see Neil direct a Gundam movie. He knows how to make CG look real and have it interact flawlessly with real life, so imagine how well he could he do it for a Gundam. Plus, he's very good at integrating themes of war and politics into his films with them seeming obtrusive, so he would be a perfect fit for that kind of world.

Man, I'm frothing at the mouth just thinking about it.

I'm with you on that!

I agree. The Story is so striking, like a 'John Q' in outer space. Anyone could relate to Matt damons character mission in this film.

The CGI looks AMAZING in this. I would pass out if he made a sci-fi project of such immense size lol. Trailer was well worth the wait my lawd :wow:

This is sort of a reverse Gundam, with the colonies being rich, and the Earth being poor. Which does make more economic sense, if you think about it.

That, my friends, is how CGI is done.

Most anticipated film of the year. By 1,000,000 miles.

I heard the budget for this is only around $100-120 million! Only that, and he makes it look better than most blockbuster film do with twice that budget. The man knows how to stretch the dollar.

To put it into perspective, Box Office Mojo lists The Avengers production budget at $220 million, Star Trek Into Darkness at $190 million, and Iron Man 3 at $200 million. Yet, the CG and production values of those films don't look nearly as good as they do in this film. If I was just an Average Joe, and was told what film looked more expensive, I would hands down pick this film.

If Blomkamp can make something that looks like this for only half of most major blockbusters, imagine what he could do with a full, blockbuster budget! I mean, the sheer scale and quality of that film would be astounding! :wow:

Peter Jackson needs to call Blomkamp up immediately and ask for his help because he needs it big time.
