I'll give them one film that I saw and liked...War of the Worlds. It took some seriously staggering jumps in logic, but I was at least satisfied with it in comparison to Spielberg's big budget take on the novel. Everything else is just one bad mockbuster after another. The recent AVH story on how the director spent the entire time on his iPhone and took 20 takes of a man picking up a gun explains it all for me.

Ripoff aside you shouldn't be making a movie with giant fighting robots for that money. You might as well just put all of the money in a pile and burn it. Now this may sound crazy or wild I know but how about the director actually sit down and use his brain to write something decent and somewhat original to fit his budget. Guess that is asking too much.

well...you can't blame them. Everyone has to make a living. Porn companies have been making porn versions of popular movies for years too.....Though I'm sure the porn movies are better quality than these

I love these movies that try to cash in on blockbusters. Today I saw one in the video store that looked exactly like AVP, aliens on the cover and all. Look close and you see that the aliens were kinda different.
