Superman Returns New Ad On Fox 8! Supes Saving The Plane

Its Routh who makes you believe a man can fly.. the cgi helps.
Exactly. I also love the way the camera moves. It aids the illusion that he's flying faster than a speeding bullet.

That´s the point, he´s still Peter Parker when he´s Spider-Man. Superman pretends, Clark is a cover, Peter is who he really is.

but he's a superhero. He's playing a different role. And it's clear in the movie that that's what they went for with the scene with Mj on the church building or whatever that was. "I'm just your friendly neighborhood spider-man!" how did mj not recognize peter parker's boyish voice coming out?

That's Singer and Newton-Siegel.

Closely, cropped, dense, kinetic angling and framing. Unlike something noticeably missing in a recent, similiar genre clip....

Are you bashing X3? Because, if you are, I'm totally with you on that.

Ha the footage looks great, thsi made my day totally, and Iam sure that this short clip is just an appetizer to mantain us happy until we get the trailer which Iam sure will have great flying action shots, come tuesday:)

No, it´s not. It has been made clear in several interviews. Peter doesn´t "play a role", he´s Peter Parker trying to be a superhero, that´s why he´s "your friendly neighborhood". MJ is fascinated for his heroism and superpowers, but deep down he´s the same guy only wearing a mask. Spider-Man is not a "persona" like the animalistic Batman Bruce Wayne becomes. Peter Parker is not a disguise like the mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent. He´s the same guy with powers.

ok that's true. but I still wish he'd act more spidey.

If you mean the wisecracking, that comes more from the writing... My theory is in the movies Spidey often gets in situations where loved people - Aunt May, Mary Jane - are in danger. When that happens, he doesn´t quip. Notice the bank robbery scene, Spidey´s quipping till Aunt May becomes Doc Ock´s hostage.

Well now that he's not pouting about MJ all the time, that might just be what we see. Maybe...

blame the writers and Raimi.. tobey does as he is told.

The problem about the Spider-man films is that there is no personality for Spider-man, just a guy in a suit grunting and yelling :o

I'd say we get glimpses of it from time to time but not enough.

It'd be like if singer made superman come out for only five minutes to do his superman thing and the rest was lois and clark drama.

Punch me I bleed.

If Supes ever says that to Lois . The last thing we want is a emo Superman.

I really like this clip as well along with the X-3 clip, but the X-3 clip looked more grand in scope and larger... there was too much framing and close up on Brandon here and cutting off of the background sky around him, like the plane felt like it was just in a portion of made up sky instead of revealing the huge expanse of the sky through which it's flying.

X-3's danger room scene though with all the neat physical fire effects in the background, you can tell they're in this huge environment, running for their lives, youc oudl believe the space was massive. This SR clip while it had great visual effects, lacked that epic factor that the X-3 clip had

how can people say he's not showing any emotion, just look at his forehead and his eyes. Sometimes you wannabe directors drive me nuts...

i know this is superman and i now this is a fantasy movie.

but will it not look funny when hes hair changes from this:

um......you don't need to SEE a lot of the sky considering most people know that an airplane is surrounded by nothing but..........you guessed it!!! sky!

if Bryan Singer showed nothing but sky....the clip would actually be pretty boring...
