AvP3 Game News The first ever footage from the upcoming Aliens vs Predator game will be airing on Spike TV on Thursday, May 28th at 11:00 PM ET/PT. The details can be found on Destructoid. Be sure to look out for it.

he first gameplay from the action-racer SPLIT/SECOND; the dark heroic fantasy of BioWare's DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS; the premiere of new level from LOST PLANET 2; the first-ever footage of ALIENS VS. PREDATOR; the gameplay premiere of the racing game BLUR from Bizarre Creations; plus new details on MODERN WARFARE 2 from Infinity Ward and more surprise reveals still to be announced.

AVP3, MW2 and Dragon Age? Can such awesomeness be contained within a single half hour show?

The basic concept remains the same. Aliens, a Predator and a number of Colonial Marines are mixing it up and you have the opportunity to play as each faction. This time around, there is a strict linear story which plays out Call of Duty style, switching between perspectives after each level. One of the Predator's holy temples has been defiled by the Marines, who in turn have accidentally awakened the ancient Alien Queen living in it bowels. The first batch of "junior" predators storm in and get slaughtered by the Aliens. And thus, one of the elite alien-hunting Predators is sent in to clean up the mess.

The article focuses mostly on the predator, and I'm loving what I'm reading.

And we'll see the Marine side at E3.

The only thing im not feeling, is it seems as tho they are forcing you to play the 3 characters. The preview states that after each mission you switch off characters, i dont care for that approach at all. Let me decide which characters i use.

They said it would be Call of Duty style and I've seen people say that the Missions in CoD were sometimes 3-4 Levels long before you switched perspectives. I'm not too fond of the idea either, but if it helps them to tell a good story, I'll give it a try.

I actually like that it'll be kinda Call of Duty style, forcing me to try a different character. Because, in all honesty, I wouldn't play as anyone but the Predator so I like that the game is making me play as the others

Dude I'm with ya on this. I was so pumped until I read that they were doing that. It works in COD cause people have no attachment to the characters really and are just in it for the firefights. With AvP I want enough time to play with each unique character before I'm shuffled off to a new one. Especially considering the game probably won't be very long.

It worked so well with the last games I don't see why they want to mess with that. Unless its a time factor and to that I would tell them to take as much as they need. Hell, up until a week ago I wasn't even thinking about AvP so I'm really not in a rush to have the game. I'd rather them work on it for how ever long they need to and gives us fans they experience that we know they can deliver.

Yea I'm with you. I rather spend as much time with the character of my choice then to be forced into using them. I mean i plan on using all the characters, but i rather devote time to each one separately. I don't want to jump from Predator to Alien to Marine through the course of the game. I rather have 3 campaigns from each characters perspective.

I hope there's co-op. Hard mode will probably be insane without co-op.

oh Co-Op would be sweet. Could you imagine you and a buddy playing as Predators kicking the **** out of everything!!!

I'm looking forward to the Multiplayer. I want to replay the scenario from the first Predator Movie. A commando of 5-6 players in the jungle against a single Predator. I, of course, will be the Predator.

From the look of most of these posts it looks like they could have just made an all Predator game and everyone would be happy. I know i would. They could include Aliens to fight but if I could only play as one of the three it would be Predator all the way. (Or maybe Predalien)

Never had a pc rig good enough to run games as a kid, so this is all new to me. I'm just hoping that each species is fun to play as, not solely the predator, but the way things are looking, I don't think it's going to be a problem.

The Predator is my favorite from the 3 species. But the marines were the most fun to play with in AVP2, for me.

Never had a pc rig good enough to run games as a kid, so this is all new to me. I'm just hoping that each species is fun to play as, not solely the predator, but the way things are looking, I don't think it's going to be a problem.

Ditto. Except I didn't even know what Alien or Predator was when the first games came out (I was a kid).

Here's the teaser trailer! Doesn't show much, but it's just a teaser, and honestly, from what I saw of that quick glimpse, I think it looks awesome. Also, the teaser trailer is very affective, if you ask me.

Nice looking engine.
Hope it's not as linear or as script heavy as Call Of Duty, one of the cool things about playing the Alien Vs Predator was diffrent ways in which to approach things.
