New Aliens vs Predator

I'm so not looking forward to play the Marine campaign. That is gonna be scary as hell. The power is cut, everything is dark and you've got only the light of your torch and somewhere you hear a Facehugger skitter along the ground.

Wow I just saw the special edition an now as much as I wanna get it I feel I'd forever be mentally scarred of having a "replica" face hugger within my house. Just the idea of it now makes me wanna crawl outta my skin:waa:

Ditto. I don't like playing scary games, it's the only reason I haven't played Dead Space & why I had seconds thoughts on getting Left 4 Dead... Until I found out it was more of like an action movie than a horror movie. :woot:

My hopes for this game have been vamping up! I'll probably be picking this up when after I get Mass Effect 2!

The only problem I have with this game is the release date, it's coming out the same time as Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2 which means it is goin on the backburner for now

The more i see of this game, the more i want Aliens: Colonial Marines.

One thing iv wanted to know tho, how smart are the xenomorphs? Are they closer in intellect to say a human or like an animal?

Yeah, same here. I really hope this does well so Colonial Marines will have a better chance at getting a release.

Depends on whatever the director wants. In the first movie, the Alien was sort of smart. In the second, they're just like a bunch of bugs.

Don't forget, they knew how to cut the power and got into the room wih no one noticing until it was too late.

And in Alien 4 they appear like quick learners. Like knowing not to piss off the guy behind the glas or he'll press the button that releases the liquid nitrogen. They sacrificed one of their own to escape from the cells and even flooded a room and layed traps by placing facehuggers eggs at the exit.

I liked Aliens approach of having masses of them than laser focusing on one.
When playing as an Alien in the original game it felt like the first movie in the regard, when playing as a Marine or a Predator you were basically spammed with them feeling very much like the second movie.

Since this game has been announced, I found myself being only moderately excited. Having never played a FPS AVP game before I suppose.

But now...I ****ing can't wait to play as a Predator, oh the possibilities! :D

Maybe my Predator craze is kicking up from the set leaks of the Predators.

I went to Gamestop today an pre-ordered the Hunter Edition an am looking forward to the game a lot more then I was when it was announced. 2 things I KNOW will bother me is playing as the Marines against the Aliens an knowing there's a replica face hugger in my home an the place that I sleep. I know one of these days my friends will pull a prank on me an throw it at me when I'm waking up an I will legitimately crap myself from fear of seeing it fly at me. I can only hope Michael Biehn will jump threw my window an save me:waa:

Man, that only makes me more excited for the game.
If it isn't scary with the marines, it isn't fun enough.

Chances are that the Facehugger will be s*****. But if not, then sell it on Ebay like a month after the game comes out. You might be able to make some decent cash by doing that.

My hype is gearing up for this game though. I'll be sure to get if after I get Mass Effect 2.

Will the plasma caster need ammo or just recharge?

Now that Splinter Cell has been delayed, I'll probably pick this up no matter what the reviews say.

I'm still pretty interested in this game, but I'm playing wait and see with it after hearing such negative buzz about it. Also Rogue Warrior.

What negative buzz are you referring to? The last few previews iv read on IGN had them pretty excited.

Like you though, im in wait and see mode. Although the last few previews iv read are starting to sway me a bit.

On all of the podcasts I listen to, no one has really had anything positive to say about it.

The only bad news I've heard about this game is the company's past.

I've got to admit, my gut is telling me this game is going to suck, I've just got that feeling every time I see a piece of video.

Here's to hoping I'm wrong, I played the previous 2 games when they came out and I'd love to have a next-gen one.
