NEW Beetlejuice DVD/Blu Ray...but is it SE?

20th anniversary edition + episodes of the animated series?

I'm in.

I guess three eps of the cartoon is better than the nothing that was on the previous release...

But...c'mon...give us some documentary and commentary and stuff like that. :csad:

Will they ever release the cartoon series on dvd? :(

I agree, but at this point I'm happy we're getting anything. Hell, even just releasing the old one in a case that isnt a cardboard snap case would be a step up at this point.

Only time will tell.

When you get to Hollywood you better fix this!

I'm going to release at the very least 3 versions of all my movies on DVD...the first will be barebones, then the SE will come at Christmas of the next year with special features, then a 10 year anniverary dvd which will be the first that has commentary and is two disc...just cause I want the money :D

I brought Beetlejuice cartoon only had three epsidoes it was only on tape. Its better then nothing. i wish they would show the cartoon maybe even put it on dvd.

I already own the original release on DVD...guess I'll be skipping that version.

I can't believe they didn't put any more extras in it.

Remastered picture quality is enough for me. Though I'm a extra material junkie so something would have been nice.

hopefully more features will be announced, one of the few films that really deserves the SE treatment, yet has to get it

Beetlejuice NEEDS to be remastered. As for commentaries go, I don't know if you could get anyone other than Burton to do one...maybe Michael Keaton...Baldwin HATES this movie.

Michael Keaton would definitely do a commentary track. And maybe they should have gotten Danny Elfman to do one as well. He did tracks for Pee Wee, Edward Scissorhands, and Apes.

FYI the original version of Beetlejuice in the old 'snapper' case has the music only track too but it was not advertised on the case. that and mars attacks had the score only tracks both are in the audio menus (mars attacks has a Martian only audio track that is funny but annoying after the first minute or two :hehe: ).
